The world has many words for those it casts aside. Jesus uses the word "Neighbor."

Today, 36.4 million refugees are waiting to see which word we choose.
In a time of deep division, our choice of words and our actions matter more than ever. It’s time for the church to remember who we are and move toward the compassion of Christ.

Faith that follows Jesus refuses fear-based narratives.

Across the U.S., thousands of Christians have welcomed refugees into their homes and churches. Yet right now, refugee policy and recent ICE enforcement like Operation PARRIS in Minneapolis are tearing lives apart and deepening a sense of fear.

- Lawfully admitted refugee families in the process of waiting for green cards are being detained
- Entire communities are being judged by nationality, not need
- And persecuted Christians are being left in danger as the lowest refugee ceiling in U.S. history shuts off pathways to safety.

This isn’t just bad policy. It’s collective punishment.

As followers of Jesus, let our faith shine brighter than the surrounding fear.

Help us deliver 10,000 signatures to Congress to help put an end to these unjust policies. We’re half way there!

Access to food is essential for every person to live with dignity and build a healthy future. But lasting food security requires more than meeting today’s hunger. It also means strengthening the ways families grow food, earn income and prepare for future challenges.

Across the world, World Relief combines emergency food assistance with long-term investments in agriculture and livelihoods.

On #WorldFoodDay, we remain committed to partnering with local churches and communities to address urgent hunger and cultivate lasting resilience. by @worldrelief

Imagine navigating a grocery store, a doctor’s office or a job application in a new country and in a new language without being able to read or write in any language.

Every adult deserves the opportunity to unlock the power of literacy. That’s why our team at World Relief created Foundations of Literacy: research-informed, ready-to-use lessons and materials that equip educators to help adult learners build language, reading, writing and numeracy skills at every step of their journey.

Due process is a Constitutional protection for all, citizens and residents alike. But what happens when refugees have less time to make their case?

Refugees undergo years of extensive screening before being approved to resettle in the United States. In rare cases, their eligibility to remain in the U.S. as refugees may be questioned, requiring them to provide evidence that they still qualify for refugee status.

Historically, refugees have had 30 days to gather that evidence and respond. Now, a new federal rule cuts that time to just 10 days.

World Relief is deeply concerned that this change could make it harder for refugees to defend their status, particularly amid recent increased efforts to reexamine the cases of refugees already living in the U.S.

Swipe to learn what's changing, why it matters and our response.

Today, we’re celebrating pastors, ministers and church leaders across the world who are shepherding their congregations to shine the light of Jesus into the world.

For more than 80 years, across 100 countries, we have partnered with the church to walk alongside displaced people, bringing restoration, hope and healing during times of crisis. Pastors have been at the heart of that call since the beginning.

Five weeks. Five minutes. One fresh way to engage your church this Advent.

If you’re a pastor or church leader, invite your congregation to experience the Christmas story in a fresh way, rediscovering what Christ's coming means for today's displaced world and for families forced from their homes.

Our newest church toolkit, Lead with Light, is a five-week discipleship resource designed to help you lead your congregation from prayerful reflection to meaningful action for people who’ve fled violence, conflict and persecution.

Each week features original artwork by Julius Shumpert [@saintjuliusart], paired with a five-minute Scripture reading, guided prayer, and reflection that you can integrate seamlessly into a worship service.
