šŸ’™ Your small business probably isn’t the problem, but your marketing might be.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
There’s a watch out at the end… If you are finding it hard to show up online right now, that makes sense.

There is a lot happening. Globally. Politically. Humanly. And it can feel uncomfortable posting about work or business while the world feels volatile and heavy.

You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to post less.
You are allowed to shout loudly or not at all.

But this is important - if you do choose to speak, do it with intent - not because you feel a pressure to, or because everyone else is.

Here’s the watch out. Be mindful of being performative.
If you have never spoken out on these issues before, ask yourself why you are doing it now and what you are actually contributing. Silence is not always avoidance. Noise is not always impact. Choose honesty over optics.

Marketing has a habit of turning into a circus act.
Do this, try that, dance for the algorithm and hope it throws you a crumb.

So I wanted to strip things back and show you what I actually do to help small businesses get seen, get clients and stop feeling like they are throwing spaghetti at Instagram hoping something sticks.

It is not glamorous.
It is not overnight.
It does work.

Think of me as the marketing partner you wish you had before you tried to build your own website at 2am while rage-eating chocolate buttons and swearing at Canva.

Scroll through and you will see the different ways you can work with me. Whether you want someone in your corner every month, a full brand refresh, or just a power hour to pull you out of a creative hole and remind you that you are in fact very talented and not a potato.

If something feels like the right fit, send me a message. We will chat, make a plan and get you moving in the right direction.

No guru nonsense.
No buzzwords.
Just me, my questionable humour, and probably a horse reference or two.

I’m looking forward to chatting! Pamela xoxo

Well, would you look at that! šŸ˜‚šŸ’™

I’ve only gone and become a finalist at The Slicer Awards 2026 in the Communications & Content category…

Turns out all those hours spent getting far too invested in my clients’ businesses, sticking my nose into their big decisions, challenging their ideas (nicely, of course!) and foregoing sleep over their challenges might actually be paying off!

I love being able to become a trusted part of the teams I work with. Their wins feel like my wins, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Feeling rather proud of myself this morning. And that’s not something I say very often 🫠 by @worsley_creative

A huge thank you to everyone for all of the messages and comments regarding our wonderful Rufus and his cancer diagnosis this week.

He’s made it through the surgery today really well and is taking everything in his stride. Heaps of meds and aftercare to do - and the full results to come with what next steps look like.

So not your average Friday with wine toast but a grateful and thankful cheers to everyone.

I need to say a huge thank you to all of my clients this week because I’ve had to admit how much this has affected me and slow down from my usual pace. You are all wonderful (I won’t tag you to clog up your notifications!) I’m exhausted but I’ll be back up and running ASAP while caring for my poorly pup.

The last 5 years have done everything to bring us down - here’s hoping soon for some peace finally xx by @worsley_creative

We’ve found out that the incredible Rufus has an aggressive cancer. Surgery Friday. Prognosis unknown.

I don’t really know what to say beyond that.

He’s not ā€œjust a dogā€. He’s Rufus. He’s part of our family, part of our home, one half of ā€œThe Boysā€ and my absolute world.

ļæ¼He’s been there through some of the hardest years of my life and somehow this feels like one thing too many.

I know people go through worse. But right now I’m just completely heartbroken and scared.

We don’t know what Friday brings. We don’t know what happens after that. We just know he needs surgery and we need to get through the next few days.

So that’s where my head is at.

Trying to work. Trying to be normal. Trying not to think too far ahead.

And mostly just wanting more time with this ridiculous, wonderful dog who has absolutely no idea how loved he is. by @worsley_creative

All of the September posts talking about transformations and becoming ā€œunrecognisableā€ by Christmas and piling on even more pressure - what if we don’t want that? What if our primary aim was to recognise ourself? That’s the journey id prefer because this weird space I’m in right now is not where I want to be…

It’s a simple theory as to why you’re not as visible as you could be - you are judging yourself.

First judging yourself as inadequate before you start.

ā€œI’m not a wordsmith but I don’t want to sound like a ChatGPT clone eitherā€ = don’t show up

Or you are judging your self

ā€œI hate what I look like in front of the camera or my house is too messy/not aesthetic enoughā€ = don’t create videos while other people use a cardboard box light room and go viral.

Or you are judging your self worth:

ā€œI’m not good enough to do what they all doā€ = doom scrolling looking at everyone else’s success rather than creating.

Or you are judging your capacity:

ā€œI just don’t have time to create all this contentā€ = wasting time looking for quick trends that don’t do anything for your buyer journey.

Question.

If you judged yourself the way you judge someone you love deeply - would you come to the same conclusions about them? Would you accept the judgements or challenge them as you know they are capable of so much more?

I’m not a mindset coach (you need @shelleybosworth.official for that as she is amazing) but here’s how I can help you if you actually want to use the rest of the year to shed some of the weight of judgement that’s holding you back from showing up by giving you content marketing confidence:

1: A power hour to find the content strategy that lowers the barrier to entry for you to create content that converts. Actual detail not just an hour gesticulating.

2: A half day intensive (online or in person) where we go deeper into the psychology of your ideal customers and what’s driving them right now (we use trend data, your own analytics and ai to help us) then a content plan that gives you the clear roadmap.

3: A full VIP day where we map out the full strategy, do all of the above and we get some content creation done in a lovely setting so you can hit the ground running - and I’ll show you the tools and strategies I use for my clients that give them the techniques to feel more confident with showing up. We eat and drink nice stuff too.

Want one of those? Drop me a message. No judgement. by @worsley_creative

This is not about bashing you small business owners but I honestly do see this all the time and people come to me with zero budget but want a magic wand. Well here’s my magic spell: Understand marketing is not free. It costs you either time, effort and imagination or it costs you money.

Last week a wedding supplier came to me having spent thousands with one of the ā€œgurusā€ in an effort to create an income source of Ā£5k a month. What did they get from their investment? ā€œWell you need to show up with authenticity, get a better logo, and invest more in me and introduce you to people who also want what you want and you can all worship meā€. That’s the sum of what they got when it was broken down.

If you want £5k months regularly you need to work backwards from £5k and understand what actually has to happen to get there.

How many sales is that? How many enquiries do you currently need to get one sale? So how many enquiries do you need every month? And where are those enquiries actually going to come from?

Because ā€œshowing upā€ is not a strategy.

Posting three times a week on Instagram and hoping the right person happens to see it, like it, remember you, need what you sell AND be ready to buy it is not a strategy either.

You need to know who you’re trying to reach, where they are, what is going to make them pay attention to you, what you’re going to say when you’ve got their attention and how you’re going to move them towards actually spending money.

And then you need enough people going through that process to make the numbers work.

That might mean ads. It might mean SEO. It might mean partnerships. It might mean networking. It might mean email. It might mean spending hours creating genuinely good content. It will probably mean a combination of things.

But SOMETHING has to fuel it.

You cannot build a Ā£60k a year income stream on vibes, Canva and ā€œauthenticityā€.

And please, before you hand thousands of £ to somebody promising to teach you how to make £10k months, ask them to show you the actual marketing strategy that is supposed to get you there.

If the answer is essentially ā€œpost more and believe in yourselfā€ then you are basically peeing in the wind. by @worsley_creative

Consider this your marketing to-do list for the rest of 2026 from your lovely Aunt Mildred!

Because let’s be honest - we are absolutely not getting to December and saying:

ā€œRight, I’ll sort my marketing properly in January.ā€

Nope.

There are still four whole months of the year left. Plenty of time to sharpen your messaging, get closer to your audience, create some bloody useful content and make sure people actually know how to buy from you.

I’ve given you 10 things to do.

Some will take an hour.
Some might make you cringe.
One involves Reddit.
None involve pointing at floating text in a Reel.

You’re welcome.

Save this and work your way through it before Christmas. šŸ‘–
