This International Day of the Girl Child, don’t just celebrate. Help girls come together. 💜

Girls in Tanzania have big dreams and real leadership potential. But many face gender-based violence, menstrual stigma, mental health strain, interrupted schooling, and few safe spaces or mentors. They don’t lack potential. They lack a platform.

That’s why we’re raising $5,000 for Girls Buzz Convening 2026, happening 20th November in Dar es Salaam. We’ll bring together 60 girls and young women in a safe space where they can learn, dream, and imagine the future that is theirs.

Here’s what your gift will make happen:

✨ Storytelling and intergenerational dialogues with Tanzanian activists and feminist leaders who changed norms and made big shifts
✨ Girls leading the space: co-designing, moderating, and hosting panels
✨ An honest conversation and Opportunity Deck with women from funding organizations and donors
✨ Letters to their future selves, in a room made for dreaming
✨ Sisterhood and an ecosystem where girls’ dreams can grow

Our partner, Feminist Idea Lab, has already committed to covering 25% of the budget. Now we’re inviting you to help us close the gap.

Donate through the link in our bio or scan QR Code in the poster.

Every gift, big or small, helps a girl walk into a room where she is safe, heard, and believed.

Can’t give today? Share this post. 💜

There is a younger sister somewhere who needs the words you once needed.

The reminder you learned too late.
The courage you built slowly.
Maybe she’s doubting herself.
Maybe she’s afraid to start.
Maybe she’s wondering if her dreams are too big.

Show love and solidarity to your younger sister by writing letter to them sharing what you wished you could’ve been told earlier. These letters will be shared through our social media platforms to reach more girls around the world.

Submit now through the link in our bio and be part of this powerful storytelling initiative 💃🔥 by @woyomo_tz

Technology was meant to connect us, amplify our voices, and create safer spaces for everyone, not become a tool for harassment, intimidation, and abuse. From cyberbullying and online threats to cyberstalking and image-based abuse, online violence threatens our safety, dignity, and freedom of expression. Everyone deserves to participate in digital spaces without fear. Digital safety is a right, not a privilege. #DigitalSafetyThursday #DigitalRights #OnlineSafety #EndOnlineGBV #DefendingTheDream by @woyomo_tz

Some days you’re happy, some days when you seat and think deep about what’s going on you end up so hurt, so angry, so terrified and sad.

How many more children must be defiled, abused, and robbed of their innocence before our country takes meaningful action? How many more young lives must be shattered before those responsible are held accountable? Our children deserve protection, not pain; safety, not fear; and justice, not silence. It is heartbreaking that children can be violated by people they know, trust, or are supposed to be protected by. We must stop blaming survivors and allowing perpetrators to escape accountability. We demand justice for every child and stronger protection systems. Our children are not yours to harm. Their innocence is not yours to steal.

Femicide is on the rise in Tanzania. Too many women, girls and children are being killed, often by people they know, and too many families are left grieving while justice remains out of reach. This is a crisis, and we cannot stay silent. 🔴

After the official launching of the national campaign to end femicide in Tanzania @endfemicidetz_ , we are responding to this rise by coming together. 💪🏾

Join us for a Cross-Border Learning Session: Feminists in Tanzania and Kenya Organising to End Femicide, a virtual space where feminist organisers from both countries will share experiences, exchange ideas and learn from each other, so that our organising against femicide grows stronger.

📅 Date: 21/10/2026
⏰ Time: 4pm EAT
💻 Venue: Online

We warmly welcome all feminists and organisers to join this important conversation. Every voice and every lesson counts.

👉🏾 Register to attend using the link in our bio or by scanning the QR code on the poster.

Together, we can end femicide. ✊🏾

Komesha Mauaji Ya Wanawake Tanzania,

- Wauaji wako wapi?
