Take a closer look at this exciting milestone for the Fancsy Family Hospital Project!

The first foundational pour took place Wednesday morning for a tunnel that will link the Education and Administration Centre to the future hospital.

When the Fancsy Family Hospital opens, this tunnel will serve as a critical underground connection, allowing the safe and efficient movement of supplies, equipment, and staff between the buildings, while keeping them away from patient and visitor areas and the outdoor elements. by @wrhospital

IT'S HEALTHCARE SUPPLY CHAIN & MATERIALS MANAGEMENT WEEK!

A massive shoutout to our hospital’s Materials Management team!

These amazing individuals are the backbone of our operations, working tirelessly 365 days a year to keep everything flowing smoothly! They handle scanning and stocking essential supplies, manage all shipping and receiving, and even drive the hospital van all around town to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

On top of that, they expertly manage incoming and outgoing mail and expedited parcels for the entire facility. And get this - every other day, at each campus, a full 53-foot tractor-trailer rolls in with fresh stock, unloaded and processed the same day to maintain our inventory.

Without their dedication, our staff and patients wouldn’t have the resources they need. You’re the true unsung heroes.

During Healthcare Foodservice Week, we proudly recognize and celebrate the dedicated team members who help nourish and support our hospital community every day.

At WRH, Healthcare Foodservice staff play an essential role in the care experience of our patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Through their hard work, compassion, and commitment to excellence, they ensure nutritious, high-quality meals and refreshments are available throughout our organization.

Our Patient Food Services teams prepare and deliver more than 1,700 meals each day. Through our room service-style meal program, eligible patients can order from a restaurant-style menu, providing greater choice and comfort while supporting their recovery and overall hospital experience.

Our foodservice team members working at Tim Hortons, Subway, and the Daily Grill also make a meaningful impact every day. Their friendly service, welcoming presence, and commitment to quality help create positive experiences for staff, volunteers, visitors, and guests across our campuses.

Whether preparing meals, delivering trays, serving customers, managing operations, or supporting colleagues behind the scenes, every member of our Healthcare Foodservice team contributes to the outstanding care and service we provide.

Windsor Regional Hospital was proud to stand with our partners at @windsorpolice @hdghwindsor to be recognized at the inaugural Windsor Police Chief’s Gala held at @stclaircollegecentre4arts … WRH/ESHC President and CEO Kristin Kennedy, HDGH President and CEO Bill Marra, former WRH President and CEO David Musyj and former Police Chief Jason Bellaire accepted awards recognizing collaborative efforts over the last few years through programs that pair nurses and social workers with police on the streets. These leaders joined on stage with David’s son Max accepting the award on his behalf.
