Impatiently waiting for these 🔥

The Witch ~
When Julia Barlow loses her job and her apartment, she has nowhere left to go but Pemberton, her family’s sprawling seventeenth-century estate in rural Massachusetts. Officially, she’s there to check in on her aging grandmother. Unofficially, she’s hoping the old house will give her a place to disappear.

Instead, Pemberton begins to unravel her.

Every night, the grandfather clock stops at exactly 3:41 a.m. And a disembodied voice cries for help outside Julia’s bedroom door.

Tarot Trials ~
Kestrel has trained her whole life to compete in the Tarot Trials. Her mother won, earning a place among the ruling Cinque -then paid for it with her life.

Now it falls to Kestrel to take up her mother’s mantle as Champion. If she can master her new powers of shadow and illusion, and corner the fellow Champion who dealt the killing blow to her mother years ago, she may uncover the truth she’s seeking without losing her head… or her heart. But in the Trials, betrayal is a question of when, not if.

Royal Witch ~
1420. Eleanor Cobham arrives at the court of Henry V. Pretty but not highborn, she hopes for nothing more than to marry well.

It is a golden age for England, but chaos waits in the shadows. Betrayals and shifts of power change the world Eleanor has stepped into.

As her safe life shifts, Eleanor changes with it. Now she must use her wits to survive – and to rise. Her ambition will to carry her further than any woman before. But if she is to rule England itself, she will need to turn to darker arts.

Wretched Divine ~
Aurelie was born to serve as a knight. She’s spent her life honing her blade, driven by her kingdom ravaged by demons.

When those she loves are turned into the very monsters she’s sworn to destroy, Aurelie is forced between an angel and demon for help. Torn by the opposing sides, Aurelie has to wonder if the end of this war is even possible… and if she’ll survive it.

“It is time.”

For both my witchy girls with apple cider, and my dark readers. 🖤

Happy Official Fall 🍁

🔥Slow Burn & Tension (with plenty of action)
🖤Angsty, Trapped, Morally Gray Hero
🔥Forced Proximity
🖤”Who did this to you?”
🔥Multiple POV
🖤 He falls first
🔥 Gothic vibes

Two rival reapers. A century of overdue souls. An unwanted attraction. What could go wrong?

Guys, I am absolutely loving fall further up in the northeast this year. Holy shit, it is getting colder fast, and the leaves are already turning, but it’s gorgeous.

When that irl thing reminds you of a fav series

I found this gorgeous little thing rusting away, covered in vines in the side of someone’s yard 😭 I had to help him come back to life.

Is the entire series about sailboats? No.
But very much like finding new (old) treasures, there is excitement! Curiosity! Passion! And sailboats built by hand by hot guys. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t make the rules.

I read these books *years* ago, and I still reread them sometimes just for the vibe. Guaranteed HEAs, which I could use rn 😅

What random thing irl makes you think of that one favorite series-? Seasonal or comfort read, any genre, watcha got?

Fun spice and great world building.

Loved:
🌊risk of discovery
🌊underwater city in a way that made sense
🌊learning to swim
🌊the pocket 🔥
🌊the red bloom

Lost Me At:
❤️‍🩹forgiving the trauma because they’re hot
❤️‍🩹ZERO adjustment time

I think this is a great shorter read for people who can overlook my two hangups. It’s engaging, it’s fast paced, with a very likeable FMC. The physics made sense, re swimming, the currents, and the underwater atmosphere.
I would LOVE to visit 😆 for so many reasons 😋 #ɪʏᴋʏᴋ

Le struggle for Le book mail is real 😂

Keeper of Enchanted Rooms is finally mine! Thank you so much @sassypantswriter for introducing me to this one!

Set an 1846, the new master of Whimbrel House is fully unprepared for what he encounters on the secluded estate off the coast.
Doors slamming when no one is there, banging and lights flickering throughout the house, the front door refusing to let people in… Or out. Master Merritt is outmatched by the house that won’t let him go.
And her Hulda Larkin of the Boston Institute. She understands enchanted houses having temper tantrums. Or she thinks she does. Until the house locks her in too.

✅ house with a personality
✅ gothic northeast vibe
✅ cozy mystery
✅ don’t want to want each other

Celebrating Summerween with Wally the Watermelon Jack O Melon

-#lushlife ghosting ✅
-#grimmsfairytales ✅
-#jackomelon ✅
-#summerween ✅

Shout to @crystalskyye and @bri_sips for letting me destroy their kitchen and helping eat about 42 pounds of 🍉🥰

Shoutout out to my brother -who does not have social media- for gifting me the complete collection of Grimm’s fairytales.

⁉️What’s your favorite fairy tale, Grimm or otherwise?? Original or remake?

Tips for the Jack O Melon:
x use a big spoon; don’t try to get cute with a melon baller, it’s a solid no-go

x do it outside or in the sink - NO ONE told me how wet this project would be, so now I’m telling you

x be gentle! This is not your hardass autumnal gourd. by @writ_fallon

Fun, crazy read

⁉️ would you ever be a mortician or funeral director ?? 🫣

Irdk if I would.

These are true stories from all over, about the wild and strange things that happen after we die.

No lights at the ends of tunnels so far, but the dead guy who helped unlock the mortician’s locked, running van? Or the words that came from a dead guy’s mouth?

I’m out. 💀 😂 I feel like only dumbasses stay in the haunted house.
