💫🐊SWAMPWITCH, my contemporary southern gothic horror, based on TROPES! 🐊💫

Are you a fan of:

🔪Unhinged FMCs? (of course, you are! Of course)

💋Sapphic longing?

✝ Pretty sure this is a cult.

🔪Monstrous women?

😮Where did you get that ground beef?

OMG, me, too! That's why I wrote SWAMPWITCH.

💫🐊Welcome to Hillvale!! It's a small fictional Florida town and the setting of my recently-finished contemporary southern gothic horror, SWAMPWITCH!

💫🐊Hillvale, FL-- a place rotting from the inside out. Conservative and hostile, the town has been gripped by a Christo-fascist cult where female purity is enforced through ritualized cruelty and total surveillance.

Sound like something you want to read? Stay tuned for more tidbits!

With it being #FaceFriday, it seemed like a good time to join in on the
AUTHOR, FIRST PAGE, BOOK trend, tweaked slightly as isn't published (YET!)

💫🐊SWAMPWITCH is a contemporary southern gothic horror which falls squarely in the ‘good for her’ realm.💫🐊

Happy Weekend, ghouls! Come up with ALL the ideas. Begin a new project. Make it unhinged. BE UNGOVERNABLE!

Summer was rough.

I, like so many, had a lot going on. I fell into a reading and writing slump--and can I just say how awful that is? One of the few things I truly enjoy, suddenly felt like a chore. Like I was just going through the motions. The excitement, gone.

Albeit slowly, I kept reading. And, as the saying goes, I'm refilling the well. Putting words to paper.
But these books helped!!

CREEP @evswrites
CARMILLA J. Sheridan LeFanu
AND THEN SHE FELL @ellialic
TANTRUM Rachel Eve Moulton
KILL FOR LOVE @laura.picklesimer
MOLKA @monikakimauthor
MAN SPREADER @marniewritesthrillers
DECOMPOSITION BOOK @saramcclarinet
HUNGER Choi Jin-Young

Reading is resistance.
Art is resistance💚

Missing my Luna a little extra today; she would have been 7 😢💚. I miss her happy dance when someone would come through the door, even though she’d step on your foot and it would hurt like hell. I miss her whimpers and funny noises when she’d dream. Her wet snoot. Her velvety ears. The way she smelled. The single mysterious hair stuck behind my phone case.💚🐕‍🦺 by @writejennywrite

Just doing my part providing you with warranted, albeit unasked for bookish love during these UNPRECEDENTED TIMES 😬
