If you know me personally, you know that I love letters - handwritten, typewritten, said out loud - every & all forms ✿

I show my love through words so if we're [kinda] close, I probably already wrote you a letter!

My book has some of the [actual] letters I've written for others. I'm quite blessed that they gave me the permission to include my letters as part of these pages. Sometimes, I open my book & read them again to remember how blessed I am to get to love and care for them! ♥

I didn't really expect anything much about me publishing my book other than the prayer that I can sell enough to pay the loan I took to make this happen. 😅

Woke up to a semi-gloomy morning which brought up sentimental feelings 🥹

This time 3 years ago, I wrote in my journal, "I hope I get to publish my book." And I still get those pinch-me-moments for a dream come true.

A huge part of my life is bundled up in these words I wrote in this book. And I still can't believe you get to hold it and read it. 🥹

Reminsicing the past years of my haiku postcards...

I've been writing haikus since college and 3 years ago, I decided to make something out of it & decided to launch my haiku postcards.

Forever thankful to @kathillus and @erikaliquete for making the icons 🥹

My first customized haiku postcard order which I didn't want to do because I doubted myself but took the leap and I'm glad it ended up okay 🥹

Since then, I've written over half a hundred of customized haiku postcards. And I still get anxious all the time because I'm scared the customers won't like it but by God's grace, I always end up writing from the heart and maybe that's what makes it special 💛

Always wanted to join a Christmas bazaar and I finally did!

Thankful to Ate @sai.chiii for inviting me to B1C' anniversary. This was also the time I first did my on-the -spot haiku writing 🥰

I've written hundreds of haikus throughout the years and I'm always amazed how there seems to be no shortage of words to fit in 3 lines of 17 syllables 🥹

It's also a way for me to share my faith 💛

If you know me, you know how I tend not to finish projects. But this is the first that stuck, that's why it's so important to me. It proved to me that I don't need to be imprisoned by the constant loop of depression and mania. And because of this, I ended up completing more creative projects, including my first self-published book which also contains several haikus 🥰

Thankful to all those who supported this little project of mine in the past years! 🥹 And I could say, with happy tears in my heart, that these postcards are here to stay! 💛 by @written.by.ashley

More pictures from the haiku writing workshop.

Even if the format and flow were the same as the first run, this time allowed for more insight and even made room for surprises.

If I am ever asked what's something I feel like was always meant for me, a calling if you could term it that, it's this -
stringing words together -
in counseling, writing, speaking, encouraging...

I left this workshop with a heart filled with so much joy for another opportunity to do something I love.

I did the second run of my haiku writing workshop last Saturday. And you know me, I have a lot to say about it but I'm gonna give it to you in chunks 😅

But suffice it to say, at least in this post, that I'm glad I did it. I'm glad to have shared the space with 4 individuals. I'm glad the Lord gave me the opportunity to share the insights I've had in counseling & writing.

And I'm just thinking here, how about this be a recurring thing. Yes to a third run? 💛 by @written.by.ashley

Been loving the morning sun the past days. 🌻

Spending time with the Lord with the rays warming my face is something that just lights up my day in a different [best] way.
