Santa's been coming all year in the world of AI.
Every week, a new breakthrough drops.

We went from page-long prompts to node-based workflows. Nine fingers to obsessing over bad skin. GPT Image to Higgsfield, Weavy, local AI video workflows that don't need a bitcoin rig.

Veo 3 gave us a taste of a sophisticated AI video generation setup trained on youtube videos. Nano Banana 1, then 2 - It’s all so crazy now compared to March when I got into it.

I mean I just made an AI anime video with zero barriers, and it wasn’t hard to pull off. Kling took us from 1.6 to 2.6 in just months of AI video evolution. Lip sync technology went from "it'll do" to "wait, that's real?"

It’s moving at such a speed that we never could have imagined - even recently, just in ONE WEEK hit us: Flux 2, Z-Image, Seedream 4.5, Nano Banana Pro, Kling O1, Kling Motion Control, Kling 2.6 and I think even more.

All insanely useful AI video tools. All at once.

The smart ones stopped chasing hyperreal AI-generated content. We're moving into the impossible now - AI anime, stylized worlds, creative freedom, while some are experimenting with emulating hyperreal imperfect skin, others are going for the more surreal and trying to see what we can really pull out of AI visuals stylistically.

This is the Year of Gifts to the creative industry and AI video creators everywhere.

Santa came every week in 2025 for us, can’t wait for 2026’s gifts.

Stoked to announce Shear, Dumb, Luck has been shortlisted for the @disruptaifilmfestival

This film took 15 days from pre-post - it was a mad dash, and I'm super proud of it!
The second I found out about the first AI short film festival in Australia, I knew that dropping everything was a non-negotiable.

I'm super grateful and excited to meet local people that share the same passion for pioneer creative technologies as I do.
Can't wait to meet everyone, make some new friends, and most of all see the fruits of everyone's hard labour, in a space very dear to me - ACMI Australian Center for the Moving Image).

To share a bit about me before AI erupted, I've been first and foremost a filmmaker for my whole life, and a creative technologist by heart.

Working with breakthrough technologies and pushing them to the edge has always been the play, back from when 360 video and VR were coming in and out of the scene. anywhere from pushing vintage tech and finding new ways to squeeze cool stuff out of it, this has been the life project.

The second AI was getting to a usable level and production-ready, I started Warm Regards, not even 7 months ago.

Forward to now, it's milestones EVERY day.
I'm lucky enough to be working full-time 24/7 with what I love the most, pushing creative technology til the credits roll.

The moral of Shear, Dumb, Luck, is a direct parallel to the dude behind it.
A story about the relationship between a person and their tools.
Seizing an opportunity, shattering the glass, and generally going for it.

This is a culmination of the lifetime's work behind me, even as a young lad.
To everyone who was so supportive of this film, and to those who have entered, and made this possible, a huge CHEERS AS!

Every shot in this video was created entirely with AI.
If you're curious how I did it, just comment "Prompt".

Right now, AI video is misunderstood by most people. They either treat it like a gimmick, or expect it to replace traditional filmmaking altogether. The truth is somewhere in the middle, and that’s where the real creative power is.

What I’m showing here isn’t a replacement for a camera crew or a music video set. It’s a tool.
A precision tool. The kind of thing you use when you need that one showstopper moment, the frame that makes people stop scrolling, the image that gets screenshotted and shared.

When used sparingly and intentionally, AI-generated footage becomes the secret weapon in a visual storyteller’s toolkit. It’s especially powerful when blended with real footage, not to fake reality, but to amplify it.

I've spent months refining my visual style and prompts to get this level of quality and control. And soon, I might start opening the vault.

We all know Midjourney moodboards, but weirdly I never thought to use it with my OWN moodboards.

it's an easy way to bring your AI photoshoot closer to the brief.

When working on a project, you've already got a moodboard together usually in your proposal, and/or the brief your client sent you.

So why not give a shot running it through and making your finals almost bang-on with the vision you've established.

Not saying it an end-all - but if your AI client work feels like it's lacking cohesion to the brief

Give this a shot and your AI photoshoot or AI product images might just need that extra level of cohesion.

As always, Midjourney pulls only not for generating moodboards but for actively doing a feedback loop and nailing your AI photoshoot straight to the brief as if it were taken on the same day.
