Inside Wu Yee’s Lok Yuen Campus on Clay Street — one of 12 early learning centers serving families across San Francisco.

Wu Yee’s work goes beyond early education. Their programs support the whole family, offering resources, care, and guidance that help children and caregivers thrive together. It’s a powerful reminder that strong communities are built by investing early and showing up consistently.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, Wu Yee Children's Services is celebrating the culture, traditions, and stories that are part of the lives of the children and families we serve.

Books are one way we bring those experiences into our classrooms, giving children opportunities to explore Hispanic cultures and see themselves and their communities reflected in the stories they read.

Wu Yee Children’s Services families recently received free car seat inspections and replacements through a partnership with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital’s Child Passenger and Pedestrian Safety Program, UCSF Emergency Medicine, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Certified technicians helped families make sure car seats were properly fitted and provided new seats at no cost when existing seats were expired, recalled, or no longer the right fit.

We’re grateful to our partners for helping make important safety resources more accessible to the children and families we serve. by @wuyeesf

This week, students from the University of San Francisco’s School of Nursing and Health Professions visited our Lok Yuen Early Learning Center to learn more about how we support the health, safety and well-being of young children.

Students explored our health and safety practices, learned about nutrition guidelines and spent time playing and connecting with our little learners.

We’re glad to welcome future health professionals into our classrooms and share more about the work that helps young children thrive! by @wuyeesf
