I had the honor of participating alongside executives, staff from Panorama Apartments, members of the West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA), and community members in the grand opening celebration of Panorama Apartments, located at 2700 N. Ventura Rd. within the esteemed Riverpark Master Planned Community.

Panorama Apartments is a contemporary, five-story residential development comprising 333 units, designed with upscale coastal aesthetics, open-concept layouts, and an expansive rooftop amenity deck that offers scenic views of the Santa Clara River.

The Panorama Riverpark project introduces new housing options for Oxnard, including 50 deed-restricted affordable units integrated within its 333-unit community, supporting our city’s goals for stable housing and responsible economic development. The mixed-income approach aims to foster diverse, vibrant neighborhoods while minimizing the risk of concentrated poverty.

I extend my gratitude to our Housing Department and the investors and housing developers whose ongoing commitment and investment in our city help transform land and architectural visions into homes. Their efforts involve navigating complex zoning regulations, assuming financial risk, and scaling construction to meet our growing population’s needs, thereby creating jobs and alleviating housing shortages. by @wvcballiance

I was pleased to attend the annual Military Appreciation Mixer, thanks to the kind invitation extended by Andy Conli, President and CEO of the West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA).

The event was graciously hosted by the Port of Hueneme at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in Oxnard.

This gathering offered a valuable opportunity to engage with military personnel from Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), including Command Master Chief Kristi Thrift, the first female Command Master Chief in the history of NBVC, along with local leaders and business professionals. Local businesses generously contributed door prizes, which were raffled off to military personnel and veterans in attendance.

The military appreciation mixer serves as an important forum to foster stronger connections between our civilian community and service members at NBVC. It promotes the development of local networks, expresses appreciation for active-duty personnel and veterans, and supports the cultivation of enduring partnerships between NBVC and local civic and business leaders.
