Rocking some new hardware and software. I appreciate Mule Carts, Faini Made, Assimilate, Hedge, Hyper, CalDigit, Cable Matters, OWC, SUMPK, Bacron, DAYJOY, and ColorCases for making life easier. Need to work on cable management though. Plus, this digiplate’s home, a black and green Pelican 1535 Air from ColorCases isnt pictured.

Switching from DaVinci Resolve to Assimilate Scratch was expensive, but maybe the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Its integration with Hedge’s OffShoot Pro makes working with both programs feel faster than they already are. Now I’m anxious to use Live Assist, Assimilate’s live grading and multi-cam VTR program. by @wyattmeffert

A sugar maple fell mostly on my parents’ property, but some of it broke the their fence and landed in the neighbor’s lawn. I managed to get it out of their lawn. The quickest way out demanded vertical rolls. Turns out sugar maple is a heavy type of wood 😫 taken in La Grange, Kentucky by @wyattmeffert

Spencer is a great cook. I was fortunate to have him make a potato crust quiche for breakfast and kubba patata (lamb stuffed potato patties) for dinner, shown in this picture. It had very fun flavors with the with the well seasoned lamb and onion. I hardly take pictures of my food, but these were my first kubba patata and had ideal looking crust.

Champagne and couscous salad paired well with it. To emphasize my birthday’s theme, my favorite potato au gratin was also served.

The quiche looked and tasted perfect. Didn’t snap a shot, though. Will try to remember next time. by @wyattmeffert

Make that about 2,610 transfers and 505TB with a couple of additional days on this feature, Special Op: Rent-A-Cop. I did not account for previous years, but 2024 likely broke some records. by @wyattmeffert

Yesterday, a pair of headphones made in Kharkov, Ukraine arrived. It took about 18 weeks for Verum Audio to make and ship this Verum 1. I think the wait was worth it. Paired with Sound Warrior’s hybrid vacuum tube amp, the SWL-T01, I’m listening to favorite tracks with an unfamiliar warmth. Even at loud volumes, it’s one of my most comfortable listening experiences. Found myself surprised and smiling a lot.

Transferring data from my late-2015 MBP to my new 2021 M1 Max. I did not notice the lack of rear corners on its current case until today, so one that does include those was ordered for tomorrow. At least I got to open the M1 Max and get things started. by @wyattmeffert
