HELLO DIVAS!! ⭐️✨️❤️

I have graciously gained a TON of new followers in the past week, so I figured I'd make this introduction so you can get to know me a little better! 🥰

My name is Xaddy Addy, I am a Black transmasculine non-binary badass from Harlem, NY, and I use he/him/they/them pronouns at ALL times. I have been an effeminate drag king, draglesque cutie, and sideshow artist in NYC nightlife for the past 5 years. Coming from rock bottom as an anxiety and trauma riddled s*x worker to a full time performer has been one of my biggest challenges AND blessings in my adulthood thus far.

Known by many as The ILLegimate Xather of Brooklyn Nightlife, I have curated multiple community centered open stages in the last few years throughout Brooklyn. These open stages have blossomed the journeys of now hundreds of drag performers (and illegitimate children!) throughout the city, and I take great pride in seeing them all flourish. My current open stage that I co-host/produce is @superstaropenset - a weekly queer open set every Wednesday at @bar.jade.bk ⭐️

I am the co-founder and Sideshow Casanova of the 1st & only ALL BIPOC and ALL Trans Sideshow Drag show in the world- @blackcherrysideshow . The photos above is from our recent 2 year anniversary show, where for our show's closing number I got to become a human disco ball through the means of hooks IN my body! 🍒

You can also catch me every month as your favorite enby boy in the long standing, vinyl record playing burlesque troupe @lastchancedancers , a troupe I have been a part of for 3 years!🔥

My mission is simple: to live life all the way through, to be FABULOUS in RED, to expand people's mindsets when it comes to what a drag king or Black transmasculine person should be, and to inspire my queer NYC community to engage more positively and authentically with one another in the rising age of American facism. In nightlife, drag kings are meant to be in the background; to be infantalized, to be mistreated, and underpaid. In the last 5 years, I have defied the odds, committted myself to building a legacy beyond myself, and I hope to have you stay along to follow my journey!! ✨️💜

XADDY × @TROYESIVAN ⭐️💜⭐️

*SWIPE TO SEE THE JOURNEY!*

Wow....I cannot believe I was a part of Troye's "She's The Best" music video, but here we are. This experience was life changing, and there are not enough words to describe how much this means to me. Funny story: I saw the sponsored Instagram ads for this casting for two weeks. Did not even think to apply. Fast forward to a few days before the shoot, I received a DM from @shaynielsencasting with an invitation to be in the video. I could not say no, of course!

This was my first music video and there may not be any experience quite like this one. I got to meet so many wonderful people, including @sashacolby- the kind of performer and human being I aspire towards being. Troye, our fabulous director @gvsgvs , and the entire crew made everyone feel important with their kindness and respect. I will forever be grateful for this experience. Troye stated at the screening party last night that this was his love letter to femininity, trans people, and the women in life. That statement goes hand in hand with how I view my drag.

As a black transmasc person who plays with femininity through the lens of a drag king, I have been erased from the conversations around drag kings because of how I express myself. I have been told my drag isn't valid, and that I should go the "cheating" route and be a queen. Troye's video is proving that masculine people can show femininity and embrace it; I feel like by creating this song Troye is celebrating the divine feminine within himself.

With that said, celebrate this awesome video with me by coming to @blackcherrysideshow at @purgatory.bk TOMORROW NIGHT (8/15) at 10:30pm. I'll be alongside my bestie @selena.surreal + special guest @artinadarkly and it's gonna be a kiiiiii! by @xaddyaddy
