My name is Xai and I am the Podcast Host of Letters Tou Mai Podcast where:

Letters that Speak and Stories that Heal

Join the courageous guest bring letters to the spoken word while combating the digital divid.

I'm so excited to share with you all a passion project of mine. I started the Letters Tou Mai Podcast because it's always been a mission of mine to collect stories, reflect on stories, and share stories.

Without role models and having people who look like me, I would not have made it this far. Here are my letters to my community, my people, my clients, my friends and my family. Its our turn to uplift the Next G3N (Generation) and pass our wisdom like those before us.

What is a "Tou" and Why "Mai"
The names "Mai" (Feminine) and "Tou" (masculine) are two of the most common names in Hmong culture, similar to Muhammad, Fatima, Maria, Juan, etc.
“Tou” is a wordplay of: To
“Mai” is a wordplay of: My
Hence, the guest dedicates a
Letters Tou Mai: daughter, son, or partner, etc.

In the coming year, my goal is to be more active with the Letters Tou Mai Podcastt, where you’ll have the opportunity to hear courageous voices sharing their vulnerable stories.
I have been traveling, recalibrating, and contemplating how to best share these wonderful narratives. Oftentimes, staying consistent is difficult because life blows our sails in various directions.
My commitment is to consistently amplify stories from our inspiring Hmong/AAPI community.
I hope you all stick around for Season 2. Let’s hear, let’s share, let’s listen, and most importantly, let’s heal through “Letters that Speak & Stories that Heal”.

In this Fireside Chat, we sit down with Xai Yang @xaidy_nyc , a licensed social worker, advocate, and late-diagnosed ADHDer, who shares his journey from shame and stigma to building a life rooted in radical acceptance.
