This month, we welcome @ovidmusick , a Brooklyn-based Korean-Salvadoran producer and DJ originally from the Washington, D.C. area. With over a decade of experience in electronic music, Ovid has been deeply influenced by Bristol’s Hard Drum movement. His percussion-driven productions have found homes on labels such as FLOOD, Loosee, and Nostro Hood System. For this month’s show, Ovid takes us on a journey through his distinctive world of bass and rhythm, weaving together Bass, UK Funky, drum-driven Techno, and Dubstep. Expect a dynamic exploration of heavy percussion, deep basslines, and the spaces between genres, reflecting his adventurous and boundary-pushing approach to club music. Beyond music, she works across the creative industry as a model and party organiser, while remaining actively engaged with cultural and artistic practice. She approaches the dancefloor as an experimental space where bodies and identities can loosen, shift and move freely. Her sets move through Hard Drum, Club and bass-driven experimental dance music, weaving in Latin and Dancehall rhythms while shifting between low-end pressure, physical movement and different rhythmic traditions. Ladies and gentlemen… “The Fantastic Brothers 龍兄虎弟！” Inspired by the opening of an iconic Taiwanese variety show, Frame Taipei proudly presents one of the pioneers of Mandarin dance music — DJ Jerry, widely known as the “Godfather of Mandarin Electronic Music,” joined by his longtime vocalist, “Missy Babe”. From Taike dance music to Mandarin pop classics, familiar melodies, Y2K memories, and club beats come alive once again. Back in the ’90s, DJ Jerry was already blending Hard Trance, Hip-Hop, and House into Mandarin dance music. With hard-hitting rhythms, addictive melodies, and an unapologetically bold style, he created one of the most distinctive sounds in Mandarin pop. XAN is an experimental music producer, DJ, and creative practitioner from Taipei, currently a resident DJ at HKCR, Hong Kong Radio. Raised between Taiwan and Tokyo, she draws inspiration from queer and subcultural movements, viewing parties as experimental spaces where bodies and identities can be fluid and liberated. Her music blends Hard Drum, club, and bass-oriented experimental dance tracks, incorporating rhythmic elements from Latin and Dancehall. 1.16 週五 @mfdt606 太陽龍宮 × @ormolycka Pres. 蛇之事故 Snake Accident 太陽龍宮將與來自紐約、成立於 2005 年的實驗音樂計畫 Ormolycka，於 FINAL 共同呈現《蛇之事故 Snake Accident》。本次活動聚焦於當代地下音樂與跨文化聲響實踐，邀請兩組風格強烈、難以被歸類的美國藝術家來台演出——Cities Aviv 與 Burqa Boyz，並由 YORK（太陽龍宮）與 XAN 擔任 DJ 支援。 Cities Aviv @citiesaviv 來自美國孟菲斯的饒舌歌手與製作人，其創作融合實驗嘻哈、噪音、後龐克與工業音樂語彙。他的作品以高度個人化的敘事方式與不穩定的聲音結構著稱，現場演出具有強烈張力與情緒密度，是近年地下音樂場景中極具代表性的創作者之一。 Burqa Boyz 自 2009 年起活躍於 Ormolycka 名下的神秘雙人組，成員僅以 Left Burqa 與 Right Burqa 示人。他們自稱風格為「Benghazi Club」，將北非、阿拉伯與圖阿雷格流行音樂，結合 juke、freestyle、Baltimore club 等舞曲元素，透過取樣與節奏重組，轉化為高度舞池導向、卻無法被定義的聲音系統。Burqa Boyz 的演出極為罕見，每一次現身都被視為地下場景中的特殊事件。 Ormolycka @ormolycka 成立於 2005 年，是一個長期活躍於全球地下與實驗音樂場景的非營利音樂計畫。其發行與策展涵蓋 Death Grips、Yung Lean、Mykki Blanco、Lil Ugly Mane、Chino Amobi 等關鍵藝術家，並以對聲音、視覺與現場經驗的高度整合聞名。二十年來，Ormolycka 持續透過發行與演出策劃，推動地下文化的流動與對話，本次也將其策展能量帶至台北。
