Life-changing UK trip 🇬🇧 Pompey has my heart 💙 Not sure I'll ever be able to capture words around this experience. I'm deeply grateful to all who contributed in order to make this possible for me. Here's what happened: 🔥 I attended Wildfires conference where the Lord met me in so many ways. 🔥 I led the kids through a craft during one day at Holiday Kids Club. 🔥 I served in the Hope Hub, distributing food parcels and toiletries, served people coffee and tea, sat down to talk, pray and make crafts with the people that visited. I even got to meet the community of Portsmouth by asking for food donations at their local grocery store. 🔥 Helped in the kitchen, washing and cooking. 🔥 Led worship with the Hope Church team during worship night. Here are some takeaways: 1) The Holy Spirit is the great unifier. I felt at home immediately with all of the people I met from Hope Church. We truly belong to a different Kingdom. I get to spend eternity with these lovely people. 2) Connections can be made quickly when you go through a common experience. I loved my team (most of them I didn't know) very quickly into this trip. Looking forward to growing our friendships. 3) My body is resilient and can endure more than I thought it could. Physical discomfort is good for my soul and spiritual growth. 4) God is so detailed. He's so kind and intimately loving. He's always there ready to meet me. 5) The UK Church has something very special going on and I want in. 6) I tell the Lord that I want all He has for me, but do I make space for that in my life? I need to be intentional about not filling up my calendar and truly being available for whatever God has for me. 7) Hospitality is my love language. I truly loved serving and talking to all the people at the Hope Hub (Food Bank). I want to do more of this. 8) The people at Hope Church are some of the kindest, most genuine followers of Christ that I have ever met. They are such an example of what it is to truly live in community. 9) It's never too late to start something else in your life. God will dream with you and guide you if you're willing. 10) Amidst tragedy and loss, the Lord brings comfort. taken in Hope Church Portsmouth by @xavalos

After 12 years of homeschooling, our youngest graduates today. 1) First day of Mommy and Me Preschool Sibling class with Mrs. Verduzco (Continuing Ed) 2) First Day of Mommy and Me Preschool class with Mrs. Osborne (Continuing Ed) 3) First Day of Kinder at The Language Academy with Sra. Adams 4) First Homeschool Field Trip ever! (2nd grade) 5) First Field Trip with our homeschool co-op. Homeschooled all the way through today! 6) Graduation picture! Graduated through a private satellite homeschool program @hcssandiego Next stop, PLNU. Majoring in Psychology. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness. Forever treasured in my heart.... Lessons learned from Mary who would marvel at God's gift of motherhood. I'm grateful for it all! What a sweet journey it's been Carlo. I pray that one day, you too will experience the joys of raising a child. You have been such a gem in my life and I can authentically say that I have cherished every moment. Life update: As many of you know, I've homeschooled my kids for the last 12 years. It's a season I thoroughly enjoyed and will always treasure. My youngest graduates this summer and has been accepted to Point Loma Nazarene University, where (God willing) he plans to pursue a career in psychology. Choosing to homeschool meant stepping away from a job and career for many years, but it’s a season I wouldn’t trade for anything. As I pray about what’s next for me, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity this summer to go on a missions trip to Portsmouth in the UK and serve the community there. We're partnering with Hope Church Portsmouth during their "Hope Week", and will be: 🌿 Helping them with their Vacation Bible School 🌿 Helping them serve community meals 🌿 Helping them plant a community garden by their church I'm excited to witness how God is moving through His people in the UK and learn from it first hand. Will you help me get there? My first payment of $1600 is due April 1st. I'll be staying with host families while I'm there. Costs for this trip mainly include airfare, transportation, entrance to the Wildfires conference which we'll be attending the first 3 days. I am taking on extra work projects and will also be selling salsas to be able to pay the second half. If you'd like to partner with me, you can give by using the link in my profile!
