PRST // Talk No. 2

For our second episode, we‘ve invited Australian native, Austria based DJ and Producer Cozi.

Connor came up through Sydney/Eora’s club scene with a background few producers share: professional dance. That foundation shapes his approach, bringing a dancer’s precision and instinct for momentum, tension and release to both his productions and DJ sets.

His sound draws from 2000s-rooted house and tech-house: sexy, heavy, groove-locked and unapologetically physical. Raw drums, weighty low-end and undeniable swing define music built for the dancefloor.

With his last release release on the berlin based imprint @xkalay , distributed by @subwaxbcn, he delivers exactly that. taken in Praterstrasse / PRST by @xkalay

Big strides from COZi, the dancer-turned-producer caught in perpetual motion. Movement’s been in the blood from minute one and the influence is undeniable.

Sydney-raised and Austria-based, the Energy In Motion boss steps to X-Kalay with some of the sultriest gear we’ve released. Sexy, groove-first stuff channelling tech and prog house of the ‘90s and early 2000s: equal parts Danny Howells inkiness, ‘Heaven Scent’-era Bedrock and Saeed & Palash at their most potent.

Constructions plunge fathoms-deep into the nether-realm before darting synths and widescreen pads open the floodgates for a full-blown prog ascension. Old school sensibilities at the forefront but zero nostalgia trip.

Caught in a flow state front to back and the dancing years shine through on every groove.

Argentinian newbie Guile bossing it on the debut proper.

Moving mad from the off. Real ones will have been acquainted via last year’s ‘Access’ EP cameo, otherwise, you better get to know.

Fellow ‘Access’ alumni Boss Priester and DJ Life tore it up with their respective solo EPs, and not to be outdone, Guile is taking on all comers. Expect some of the rudest incursions on the label to date rubbing shoulders with unreservedly utopian gear.

Some shades of Rolando, AKA The Aztec Mystic, as the anthemic potential shines through on ‘Funky Rain’. Elsewhere, he’s fronting up with Euro-centric party-starters, third portal acid prog and 808 breakbeat menace. Dancefloor wreckers front to back.

Having only emerged in 2024, the hit-rate over such a short period is nothing short of prolific. Big flex.
