We just so happened to be in Singapore during National Day, Singapore’s 61st birthday. A few things:

1. There are several main characters in this first photo but we don’t mind sharing the spotlight sometimes now do we ladies? 😄

2. The St. Regis Singapore is old and very busy; the rooms are beautiful but a bit small and the staff is kind and generous, of course. They offered a wonderful afternoon tour showcasing their art around the hotel. I was and am inspired as I’m beginning to pick out new art for the living room ❤️.

3. Anyone who knows me knows the depths of my love for Singaporean food. I still think about those pork noodles slide 17. OH i forgot to post the black pepper dungess crab! Sigh. Just swipe and enjoy!

4. Slides 7 and 8 are me and Muffin learning some Singlish at @nutmegandclove 💜.

5. No matter how many temples I tour, I always run into Guanyin 😂. He’s on Slide 18.

Here I had the best foot massage of my life. We enjoyed a large spacious suite at the Peninsula Hotel, and they have a splendid pianist who performs during afternoon tea and happy hour. Ummm we crashed two different weddings, one while trying to tour San Augustin church and another while trying to tour the Manila Cathedral. Ate a lot of sisig, enjoyed the wall of martyrs at the National Museum, explored the grounds of a fort, and had a final meal that was so bad, so bland, so tasteless (it was the opposite of the name of the restaurant 😭) that we both put down our forks and said “I’d rather have Jollibees.” And of COURSE we went to Jollibees 😂❤️. taken in Manila, Philippines by @xombrgl

If you don’t like to eat you have absolutely no business in Kuala Lumpur. Come hungry, please. No seriously, skip whatever mediocre airport food you were going to have en route (or have the tiniest amount possible 😂) and by the time you land, you’ll be ready for the Kampung Baru night market, the mamak stalls, Soong Kee beef ball noodles, and so much more. It’s the ultimate priority list for full tummies and full hearts 🥰.

Of COURSE we visited the National Mosque, and the Islamic Art Museum. Slide 13 shows the second tallest building in the world, so obviously we went up to the top 😅. There’s a Park Hyatt up there that has a bar and lounge completely dedicated to chocolate; it’s called Cacao, and you need to be there. They gave us a complimentary chocolate tasting while we waited for our drinks. I’m still mad that I didn’t buy any of the chocolate.

The St. Regis KL, to us, was much better than the one in Singapore. The food was incredible, and the views were unbeatable. Iykyk. The Intercontinental was also lovely, with an excellent Cantonese restaurant called Tao. I’ve thought about the grouper on slide 12 🥹.

I beg you once more: come hungry. taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by @xombrgl

Temple touring and tea tasting for my second time in Bangkok ❤️. A few of my favorite things:

Slide 2 is the Erawan Shrine dedicated to Phra Phrom, the Thai expression of the Hindu god Brahma. Theravada Buddhism is the most common religion in Thailand, but there’s so much Hinduism and even folk religions woven throughout the temples and it’s THE coolest thing to me (and SO I’m glad I never let people bully me out of my excitement and fascination with other religions. Imagine how boring this post would’ve been! 😮).

Slide 3 is a spirit house. From my (very limited) understanding, a common thought is that spirits are everywhere and to prevent them from coming into your house, store or job, you build them their own little place. This one is for the Hindu god Indra (yes his face is green, he’s sometimes portrayed that way.)

Slides 6-11: HIGHLY recommend the afternoon tea at Peacock Alley at @waldorfastoriabangkok. The entire experience was an ode to childhood. The egg and bacon flavored ice cream was the most memorable, as well as the apple in dry ice 🥹🩷.

Slide 12, this little number is the black sesame, almond and parmesan drink at Bar Us. LOVED that.

And of course we got hella massages and toured the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha and Wat Po. Bangkok (despite the chaotic traffic 😂) is the perfect place to be a nerd, devour everything, and relax 😄.

OH and the @grandhyatterawan was an amazing stay. There are few things I hate more than waking up for hotel breakfast. The food here was worth waking up for. The sea bass, fresh sashimi and Thai omelet were my favorites. Slide 1 is me enjoying a flat white in their lounge 😄. taken in Bangkok, Thailand by @xombrgl

Koh Samui was a dream and @conradkohsamui made the trip even dreamier 🥹🩷. We ate at the Thai restaurant every day because the food was THAT freaking good (and I could eat Thai every day ☺️). Villa and views were incredible, the farm tour was spectacular, and the private plunge pool was just what the doctor ordered. We went to a kombucha making class, and we also went snorkeling and explored Pig Island while here. As for the service, I was absolutely in love with the blurbs explaining aspects of Thai culture left for us during turndown service. Sigh, just come stay here already. taken in Conrad Koh Samui by @xombrgl

I hadn’t been to Vegas in 20 years, so when given the opportunity to go for Muffin’s birthday, the answer was a swift heck yes. We got to celebrate with many of his friends 🥹. Vegas without adult supervision is just a FABULOUS time. 😂😉.

We loooooved our time on the @virginvoyages cruise! The ship left from Miami, stopped in Key West (where we got to visit Ernest Hemingway’s home) and then Bimini Beach in the Bahamas. This was both of our first time going on a cruise. I avoided cruises for years because I used to think it was “travel” for people with a 5 year old’s palate who only eat hot Cheetos and fried chicken and hamburgers 🤢. NOT TRUE AT ALL. The food on Virgin is absolutely impeccable and you get to enjoy restaurants inspired by food from all over the world. I’m tired of writing; I’ll add captions later if I want to. Swipe and seeee. taken in Virgin Voyages by @xombrgl

More archived eats and shenanigans.

1-2: Birthday omakase at @sozo_nyc. Best omakase I’ve had outside of Dai Sushi in Tokyo. I took a million photos of all the sushi but I’m posting the fatty tuna, always my favorite.

3-4: Drinks and eats at @please_dont_tell_bar, a speakeasy located inside a hot dog restaurant. Of course we had to sample the goods.

5. The @waldorfnyc has a lovely brunch menu. Order the mushroom quiche when you go.

6-7: Obligatory Central Park visit. Every time I go, I encounter a part of the park I haven’t visited before. The lacy swirly gazebo in photo 7 was new for me.

8. All you can eat Wagyu steak for $68/person at @kingsofkobe. Solid steak, cooked medium rare because that’s the only acceptable way. Delicious truffle fries too, and even the miso salad was quite tasty.

9. @schmuck.ny was just…out of this world. The photo doesn’t do it any justice. Just go and enjoy...and get that mango slushie situation.

10-11: The @parkhyattny treated a girl real special. This raspberry cheesecake was delectable to come back to after a long night. And the room service was wonderful. I opted for the lobster scramble (it had A LOT of lobster) and Muffin opted for the king ora salmon. Both were fantastic, would absolutely order again.

Whew! Done. taken in New York City by @xombrgl

NYC for my 33rd (thanks to Muffin ❤️) and [un]fortunately I enjoyed more than I have room to post, so this will be one of two posts. If you DM’d me asking about anything I posted in my stories, here’s everything so take what you need! 😄

1. The decor in our suite at @waldorfnyc was just stunning. More on that later.

2. We always enjoy the sabering at @stregisnewyork, and this time we brought friends but they aren’t pictured 🥹❤️

3-5: The @blueboxcafenyc at Tiffany’s was a real treat. We ordered from the seasonal menu. Portions were on the smaller side, but they were absolutely delectable, and the staff were just angelic. 🩵

6. NYC has a thriving tango scene, and we were able to practice and attend milongas throughout our 6 day stint.

7. We stayed at the @interconbarclay for the first few days, and they have an apiary on their rooftop, so the honey in much of the food, cocktails and mocktails at this hotel are brought to you by the rooftop bees 🐝💛🥹.

8. @nanxiangsoupdumplings are a must-have after a night of tango dancing.

9. Delicious braised eggplant and mapo tofu brought to you by @alley41official. Spicy fish stew not pictured but very, very necessary.

10-11: Kris used a StubHub deal to get us tickets to see Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway. I’d been dying to see it for over a year now! That group means a lot to me and I’ve been a BIG fan for over a decade, so this was a dream come true.

12-13: We did @cisiamonyc for excellent Italian food after the show. The caramelized onion torta was a favorite for us, and the rigatoni had PLENTY of guanciale, which I’ll always value, because most places skimp on it and think I won’t notice 🙃.

14. Drinks brought to you by @superbuenonyc. They almost didn’t let us in without a reservation, but when Kris told them it was my birthday they had a table ready and waiting! 😄❤️

15-16: Now, back to the @waldorfnyc. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been in. Shoutout to John for the personalized tour! We really appreciated it.

Part Two coming whenever I can sit down and relax again 😆. taken in New York City by @xombrgl

Cancún, Tulum and PDC for Valentine’s Day! ❤️ These are in no particular order so if you want to know exactly where a pic was taken, lmk. Some facts:

1. Tulum was my absolute favorite; I HIGHLY recommend the Conrad there. (They have a late night room service menu that is SUPER tasty. Everything on it is incredible, from the quesadilla to the cheesecake! We took full advantage 😂.)

2. I’d done Cancún before with a lovely friend 10 years ago and we had a TIME. This most current time was my first ever all-inclusive experience, and it was FABULOUS. Zero regrets, would absolutely do it again. The food was actually quite delicious for the most part!

3. Some of the photos don’t fit right with the IG dimensions. Oh well. Here. 😂 taken in Quintana Roo by @xombrgl

This is like my favorite place in America to go eat. Whether it’s San Jose or SF or Oakland, they always manage to satisfy every craving I got…and I have A LOT of them. That’s it, that’s all. taken in The Bay Area by @xombrgl
