V roce 2026 hostí galerie PLATO Ostrava opět výstavu laureátek Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého. Toto prestižní ocenění je určeno etablujícím se vizuálním umělkyním a umělcům, kteří žijí nebo působí v České republice, a jejichž uměleckou tvorbu vnímá mezinárodní porota jako mimořádnou.

Masivní dřevo, kožené žíněnky, prameny lesklých vlasů, čalounické knoflíky. Tiché, vizuálně přitažlivé a klinicky čisté prostředí s vlastními pravidly. Sólová výstava Terezy Kalousové Sorority představuje novou sérii nástěnných a volně stojících objektů na hranici mezi lidskou figurou, nábytkem a architekturou. Místo agresivní vize technologické budoucnosti nabízí Sorority kultivovaný svět založený na pečlivém odstranění všeho, co by mohlo narušovat jeho bezchybný chod. Tření nahrazuje hladkost, vyčerpání střídá wellness, pochyby jsou ukonejšeny harmonickou svůdností. Tělo je v tomto prostoru redukováno na znak, zatímco ucelené formy nabývají nečekaně viscerálního charakteru. Dokonalá optimalizace je na dosah. Zbývá už pouze otázka přijetí. Upozornění: regule tohoto řádu jsou skutečně důsledné.

Tereza Kalousová’s solo exhibition Sorority presents a new series of wall-mounted and freestanding objects that straddle the line between the human figure, furniture, and architecture. Rather than an aggressive vision of a technological future, Sorority offers a refined world based on the meticulous removal of anything that might disrupt its flawless operation. Friction gives way to smoothness, exhaustion is replaced by wellness, and doubts are soothed by a harmonious allure. In this space the body is reduced to a symbol, while coherent forms take on an unexpectedly visceral quality. Perfect optimization is within reach. All that remains is the question of acceptance. Warning: The rules of this order are truly strict.

The exhibition "Flicker Type Fields" presents a trio of artists from the youngest emerging generation that is beginning to establish itself on the domestic art scene. The artist Tereza Kalousová, together with painters Šimon Chlouba and Lukáš Šmejkal, represent a specific authorial sensitivity towards the substantive and phenomenally changing nature of reality, as selected by curator Pavel Kubesa. They capture reality on the edge of the "postnatural revolution" at the moment of transformation of its pillars, i.e. space-time and (not only) human (self-)consciousness. In the indeterminacy of the transforming matter - in the indistinguishability between the terrible and the new - they affect the possible direction of the future. taken in Prague, Czech Republic by @xtereza

S lehkým odstupem se vracíme výstavě Under the Weather od Šimona Chlouby a Terezy Kalousové, kurátorované Pavlem Kubesou. Děkujeme všem návštěvníkům galerie, kteří s námi tuhle zkušenost sdíleli.

Výstava probíhala od 15. 10. do 26. 11. 2025 v nové lokaci Galerie FaVU na Pekařské 78.

@xtereza's video explores a twisted desire for closeness, projected onto a car – an object charged with autonomy, protection, power and control. It unfolds as a speculative anatomy of life on the brink of collapse, where the boundaries between subject and object dissolve. The body itself becomes a site where inner tensions and external pressures intersect, opening the way to a transformation that is not heroic but intimate and strange: Isolation, exhaustion and desire begin to shape new forms of existence.

Video Terezy Kalousové zkoumá pokřivenou touhu po blízkosti, promítnutou do automobilu – objektu nabitého autonomií, ochranou, mocí a kontrolou. Rozvíjí se jako spekulativní anatomie života na pokraji zhroucení, kde se hranice mezi subjektem a objektem rozpouštějí. Tělo se stává místem, kde se protínají vnitřní napětí a vnější tlaky, což otevírá cestu k proměně, která není hrdinská, ale intimní a podivná. Izolace, vyčerpání a touha začínají utvářet nové podoby existence.
