Paris Marathon 🇫🇷 🏃🏼‍♀️ 3:59:18

On Sunday I crossed the finish line of the @parismarathon as a member of the Breathe Team for the @cf_foundation , an organization I’ve been involved with since I was 12 years old.

I ran in honor of my cousin Christine and all of the people fighting CF every day. To everyone who donated to my fundraiser - thank you! Your generosity means the world to me and your contributions directly fund research for life-changing CF treatments.

I signed up for this race last summer when I felt like I was drowning and running was the only thing keeping my head above water. The thought of crossing this finish line kept me going through eight weeks on crutches with a stress reaction in my femoral neck. It carried me through more than 30 PT sessions and a slow, humbling return to running. Running gave me an outlet for my grief when I lost my dad in September. Training for this race gave me stability when everything else felt like it was falling apart.

This wasn’t just about 26.2 miles. It was about finding steady ground again.

Special shoutout to my training partner @bartzsteph and to our friends who traveled to cheer us on and serve as our official water girls! Love you @nikoletteann , @katieru90 & @dandres! I’m also so grateful for the incredible running community I’ve found with @teamvtlzr as a result of this training journey 🫶 I can’t wait for the next one!
