First off, I want to thank God, my family and all my friends for all the support and love they have given me throughout my Wrestling journey. As my Wrestling career has finally come to a close here at UNC, I could not be more thankful for the opportunity that Coach Nickerson and all the staff have given me to live out my dream these past 6 years. This program will forever be close to my heart. They say when you find something, to always leave it better than when you found it. I think we could proudly say that we did just that. In this grueling and amazing sport you can give it everything you have day in and day out and still come up short. That is the beauty of Wrestling and something I have dedicated these past 20 years of my life to doing. Although, I may have never accomplished all of my goals that I wanted to personally, I had the opportunity to witness and be apart of so many others accomplish theirs. All the memories and bonds that I have created here will stick with me forever. As one chapter closes, another one starts and I can’t wait to show what’s next. I look forward to giving back and inspiring the next generations to come! Thank you Wrestling 🤞🏽 by @xvasquez970

This one stings. Yesterday didn’t go my way, but that’s part of this sport. Every time I step into that cage, I’m grateful for the opportunity to put it all on the line and live a life that I truly love. Congrats to my opponent and his team on the victory.

This loss is a learning experience and just another part of the journey. I’ll take it on the chin, keep my head up, learn from it, and keep moving forward. The sun will rise again, and everything will be okay.

I have so much to be grateful for especially my incredible coaches, teammates, family, friends, sponsors, and the entire community behind me. A special thank you to the coaches who made the trip out here to be in my corner and support me, as well as the coaches back home who helped prepare me and were behind me every step of the way. To my friends and family that made the trip I love you all it means the world to me.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages, calls, and words of encouragement. I’ll get back to you all soon, but please know that every message and all the love and support have not gone unnoticed.

I’m blessed with the best support system and surrounding cast I could ask for. Thank you for continuing to believe in me. I promise to keep working, inspiring, and motivating those who support me.

This is only a bump in the road. We keep moving forward. 🙏🏽😎 by @xvasquez970
