I stopped trying to fill my dad’s shoes long ago, as I found that task to be next to impossible (physically and metaphorically). 🫶

He’s an 8 1/2 - 9 & I’m a 10 1/2!

Now he did have an unfair advantage - his son never gave him any problems or gray hairs!! - (allegedly)

The commute to work wasn’t too bad today! If these wampaa and these AT-AT’s didnt show up this morning, it would have been a lot nicer! I even tried to sneak thru to my backyard, and had the same issue. Mondays…..-amIright?

My sweet babygirl Macy (aka mah ba-bae Mae-Mae) has officially become a teenager today 😢. 1️⃣3️⃣

I had to remind her that even though she is now a “teenager”, she will always be my baby but in all honesty…

(cue drums, 808, and keys….)

There ain’t nothin' cooler than bein' her dad
I can be mad at the world, soon as I see her, I'm glad
For her, I go hard, don’t tell me I need to relax
Im chasin' that bag & and dem boys away
& when I can’t see her - it’s wack

I see my eyes when I look in her eyes
I see my nose when I look at her nose
I straight feel her fire 🔥 in my soul
I feel like I’ve known her forever, even though she’s barely 13 years old
& she knows her Popz loves her despite the stories she gets told

I was there the morning she came out her moms
She was soooo tiny, I could fit her face in my palm
I always pray she’ll be strong
She owns my last name - she’s my earth,
a goddess, my queen
That day she arrived, I changed my whole routine.

& now - I see the world different
- when it’s just me & my baby girl chillin”
