I’m making a zine with photos I’ve taken of pro Palestine protest, anti capitalist punk shows, community, antifascist and expressing my 1st amendment to Cops and ICE agents. To which the county and media has painted me as an antagonistic individual. So I’m releasing a zine called Antagonistic that’s coming soon. DMs will be open for preorders soon. $25 a pop. Limited run all proceeds are going to help a homie family who are surviving the ongoing genocide and occupation of Palestine by the IOF.
As always FREE PALESTINE, FREE CONGO, FREE SUDAN, FUCK THE DA, FUCK ICE, FUCK AMEZCUA, 1312

Shout out to @dan____iel__ with helping with the video
And @allie.dewali for creating the cover of my upcoming zine by @yakovitch

First video is from last year Dec 4

You know for a good minute I thought I was gonna be 35 or 36 years old and it turns out I’m only gonna be 34. I barely scratched the surface of being in my 30s and I already got ran over by a car, broke my right leg into 2 pieces, was rejected by multiple hospitals, literally Died in the hospital for 2 GOD DAMN MINUTES and didn’t see shit, went on trial and beat my case, lost my favorite job and published my very first zine.

And that’s just within in the span of a couple of months. I ain’t even mentioned learning how to walk again like a damn toddler, being on a first name basis with every pharmacist in a 5 mile radius, or laying in a hospital bed watching the ceiling tiles like they was gonna tell me something.

I’m not 35. I’m for sure as hell aint 36. I’m 34 and I got 2 metal rods in my leg and a whole lot of receipts. Everything that was supposed to take me out didn’t. The car didn’t, the hospital didn’t, the system didn’t, and that flatline for 2 minutes for sure as hell didnt. Cant wait to see what the rest of my 30s throw at me 😍 by @yakovitch

Heard someone playing guitar outside the venue after the sueños set and followed the sound. Turned out to be this guy. I walked up, introduced myself, and boom: Eric. Super chill. He just waved me inside the 100 yr old building like “yeah, explore, take pics, it’s cool.”

Real talk, other churches I’ve walked into felt cold or i might lowkey catch on fire. This spot? Didn’t feel like a “church” at all. Felt like a third place a legit safe space to just exist. And when we talked? Not once mentioned he was a pastor. Straight up just dove into helping people and fighting for their rights. Now I’m not religious but this how I expected Christianity/ Catholicism to be. So this is kinda dope taken in La Crescenta, California by @yakovitch

In Antagonizer, the debut zine from Yako, we are given an on the ground, photo journalistic inside view on the plague of the oppressive state on a local community and society at large. Yako’s photo documentation shows the hurdles and challenges many resistance movements face from the acting authorities, crowd corralling violence, tear gas deployment, projectiles being shot at bystanders, and the unlawful arrests of many. A product of the community’s use of rightful civil disobedience to speak on forever pressing issues, immigrant and human rights, unjust wars scapegoated with political and religious rhetoric, but that are meant to profit the rich and further divide the working classes of the world. The photos don’t hold back, they are gritty, rough, and right in the face of those who oppress. Although touching on the confrontational nature, Yako does a beautiful job of also showing one of the most important aspects of any resistance movement, the community itself. Through images of culture gatherings and being with loved ones and friends, we are reminded why we fight and speak up in the first place. This zine is a must have, cathartic experience and a reminder of why we must speak for those who can’t. In the words of Yako, Free Palestine, Free Congo, Free Sudan, Fuck the DA, Fuck ICE, and Fuck Amezcua. 1312.

Empty ass man made concrete channel at sunset. Kinda on the nose, honestly if you think about it.

As Americans we got sold this whole “you don’t owe anyone anything” thing and called it self-care or even as American invidualism as @eggncheeseremjet saidl and guess what? Now everyone’s lonely, burnt out, and paying for therapy to talk about how lonely and burnt out they are.

In my honest opinion you actually owe people a lot. Somebody grew your food, raised you, taught you, built literally everything around you. Nobody’s self-made. That’s a marketing term the rich capitalists assholes made ip.

Boundaries are fine. But “protecting my peace” has become code for never showing up for anyone, ever.

Bring back the village. You give when your strong and receive when you’re weak Check on your friends we’re not built to do this alone. by @yakovitch
