Known for his distinctive visual language and thought-provoking exploration of contemporary culture, Yann’s work blends elements of art history, popular culture, literature and everyday life to create richly layered narratives. His paintings invite viewers to look beyond the surface, finding connections between the personal and the collective, the familiar and the unexpected.

As part of this year’s project, Yann has contributed “Rita” (2026), a unique original work that is now available through our silent auction. Measuring 85 × 85 cm and created using oil, resin and chain on tarpaulin, the piece reflects many of the themes that have made Yann’s practice internationally recognised.

Proceeds from the auction will directly support our community initiatives in partnership with @mustardtreemcr Manchester, helping to fund projects that provide practical support, opportunities and resources for people facing poverty and homelessness across the city. by @yann_leto

We’re honored to share that this piece will be part of the @rotaryinternational Charity Art Auction this December, held in cooperation with @dorotheum & @dorotheumcontemporary in Vienna. An inspiring international event, bringing together 200+ artists from over 40 countries—each contributing to a meaningful cause.

All proceeds will go to @cs_caritassocialis CS Hospiz Wien, supporting their mission: to provide dignified care and enable self-determined living, while giving mindful space and time to the preciousness of life in its final stages.

Yann Leto is a French artist based in Rome. His primary medium is painting, although he also explores installation, sculpture, and performance. His work—dense and highly detailed—is characterized by a critical approach to sociopolitical issues, functioning like a collage in which typographic elements coexist with classical and modern references. The interaction between these components is so precise that empty spaces or “unpainted” areas seem to disappear.

Free from any restriction, the protagonists of his works belong to an emotional visual sphere that repositions the human being within a society dominated by unease. Sporting events, television, social media trends, and above all his personal experience serve as sources of inspiration for the distorted scenes he presents—surprisingly faithful to the archetypes we encounter in reality.

Almost like a compulsive collector, Leto stores a vast quantity of Google images and press clippings across multiple hard drives, some of which may remain forgotten for years, creating a visual archive that feeds the construction of his own creative universe.

Yann Leto’s work is included in collections such as the San Francisco MoMA, the Benetton Foundation, the Beth de Woody Collection, the Montparnasse Collection, the Sergio Ramos Collection, Marquez Art Project, the Isco Alarcón Collection, Fundación Unicaja, and CAC Málaga. He has worked with galleries including Luis Adelantado (Valencia), Galería Karen Huber (Mexico City), T20 (Murcia), Mullherin & Pollard (New York, USA), Andrea Festa (Rome), Yusto & Giner (Madrid), and JD Malat (London, Dubai), and has participated in international art fairs such as ARCO, ARTBO, ART AMSTERDAM, ZONA MACO, KIAF Seoul, and ART021. One of his most recognized works is Congress Topless, featured in ARCO Madrid 2014.
