Harmonic or Bata Slap on a conga..
One of the special tricks of Changuito.
Took me a while to get this technique moving fast, but I love the effect it gives to certain grooves. Here two examples of his, watch until the end to hear the master himself ❤️

Bongo in 3-2 clave 👏

I added some percussion to a montuno by Rebeca Mauleon, from her book 101 Montunos.

Experimenting with different bell patterns on the same groove.
1 - Bomba / Additional Merensongo
2 - Merensongo
3 - Coladera / Funana (Cape Verdean)

Wich do you like best? 🥰❤️

August 🤎
This is what I love about being a percussionist, the possibility to play music from all over the world.
Getting familiar with the different cultures and languages in and through music.
