Weekend Guide on Thur

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just wanting to share some of my knowledge on helping vulnerable community members, particularly during extreme cold.

There is more to this but I wanted to keep it as digestible as possible (4 minutes later...)

1. If you are wanting a crisis van for a community member, please call 211. Vans can only be dispatched if you speak directly with a responder.

2. Please check to see if someone is breathing, conscious and responsive. If they are not, or if you are uncertain, it is better to call 911 in case of a medical emergency. Especially if someone appears to be sleeping or unconscious outside.

3. If you call 211, wait times to reach a responder can be about 10-20 minutes, and the wait time for a van can be up to 2-3 hours. If you are dispatching a van, ensure there is a safe, warm place for the person in need to wait. Simple ideas for that include libraries, gas stations, convenience stores, liquor stores, restaurants.
Due to the long wait times, if a community member is wandering about, or leaves the area that was designated, the vans will not be able to find them. Ensure people stay in one spot and wait.

4. Times to call 211 for a van include: when someone directly asks you to; when someone appears to be in crisis i.e. yelling into the void, clearly intoxicated in public, sobbing uncontrollably etc.; when someone is passed out in an unusual place but is responsive and breathing.

This list isn't exhaustive but I digress.

Times to not call 211: Someone is minding their own business, not disturbing anybody in a public place, and are not in any sort of crisis.

Times to call 911: Someone is passed out, not breathing, not responding, lips/fingers turning blue; someone is acting violently i.e. brandishing a weapon, throwing objects.

Finally be kind if you are calling 211. We are tired and believe me I have heard some pretty intense stuff over the years. Please don't add to that load if you are frustrated and want to yell. Hell, just try to be kind in general. You're adults probably, I believe in you.

Kthxbye,
Mozza by @yeahmozza

OKdoomer rocked The Doll House this year at @ilovethewomp setting solid foundations in Disco and House before putting in work to build a Garage the whole dancefloor could enjoy.

We've been holding onto this for a while but go check my bio to get lost in those Sunday golden hour moments.

Thank you to The Womp for hosting us once again, it was an absolute blast and an incredible memory.

Keep it for when you're feeling gloomy, so you can tell yourself:

Aw YEAH I've had a little bit of time to decompress and process an absolutely incredible weekend at @thedowntowndefrost so wanted to gush a little bit.

I had spent the week practicing some mindful delusion, getting a crate ready and practicing up just on the off chance that I was asked onto stage. On Saturday morning I got a call letting me know that Villager had gotten sick and that I was being welcomed onto the stage at @double_dragon_double_dragon that night!

Pre show jitters are always a big thing for me but never quite this intense given the size of the crowd (as seen in the selfie) and the immediacy of the gig, so I spent the day really riding the waves and trying to trust the process, that everything was gonna be ok. I'm still freaking out about following my personal GOAT @kraejiyaeji and handing the decks off to @imdanemacdonald and @max.ulis

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and danced, to all those who have supported what I am doing here, to @davefromjoluca and @princewibber for the amazing opportunity and for my wonderful spouse @kasara_cheers for helping keep my head on my shoulders.

Big things are still coming, such as the election on the 28th, I can't vote but you probably can so please do that. As well as a protest against the ongoing gside on April 25th if you're wanting to speak up for human rights.

👍🧀

✨Our time to Frolic draws near✨

🌻 Frolic Fest 0.3 🌻

As we are approaching our Frolic Fest we would love to introduce to you our amazing lineup of artists! 🎶

Give a big hello to our third slot,
YEAHMOZZA

“Standing 6’7”, weighing in at 183lbs, YEAHMOZZA (they/them) is a larger than life stage presence who takes enormous joy in finding the grooviest tunes and sharing them with satisfyingly smooth blends. Originally hailing from land cared for by the Wallumettagal people, now known as Eastwood, Australia, YEAHMOZZA has found some roots amongst the bass bins in amiskwaciwäskahikan. Bright, bouncy and not overly fussed by genre, YEAHMOZZA has been melting dancefloors throughout 2026, performing solo at Queer Rave Night and as a part of OKdoomer at The Womp and The Wind Down, while also broadcasting groovy tunes every Thursday on CJSR 88.5FM as the host of the Late Night Lounge. They can often be found frantically running around town each Thursday, letting the ravers know where they can dance each weekend by producing The Weekend Guide
So if someone asks if you like a little bit of cheese, feel free to say YEAH! Cause it’s MOZZA here!”

As we are all getting ready to get on our dancing shoes, early donations can be sent directly to our dear friend, Jessi Clarke via her email 📧

As the days have grown shorter and the outdoor dancing has truly wound down, I've been reflecting on rest a little bit more. I'm trying my best to reconnect with some less stimulating activities, so I decided to turn to @basscoastfest footage for inspiration.

What are some of your favorite Fall activities, when you aren't dancing it up in the club?

Counting down the days until we see each other on the dancefloor <3
