*November 2024 Showcase* 🌊💝
I started this book months ago but finished most of audio recently. It’s a great story if you want an entertaining, cozy, funny read, fairly simple. The MC Linus Baker lead a quiet, solitary life. At forty, he lived in a tiny house with his cat and old records as a case worker for the Department of Magical youth.

When Linus is unexpectedly summoned by Extremely Upper Management he’s given a curious and highly classified assignment: travel to Marsyas Island Orphanage, where six unique children reside: a gnome, a sprite, a wyvern, an unidentifiable green blob, a were-Pomeranian, and the Antichrist. Linus must set aside his fears and determine whether the orphanage should remain open. He investigates the situation including on the children’s caretaker Arthur Parnassus.

An enchanting story, masterfully told, The House in the Cerulean Sea is about the profound experience of discovering an unlikely family in an unexpected place—and realizing that family is yours.

I did think the name Extremely Upper Management was odd/a bit off and definitely odd how Arthur talks to/ about Linus sometimes. Works as a standalone.

🍎✏️BACK TO SCHOOL but make it BOOKISH✏️🍎

📝Our book club, @book.dragon.alliance has come together to show our love & support for schools & education!

🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉

I read most of Enid Blyton books in lower mid primary. (Didn't go to Year 1 started Year 2 aged 7.) Had different author/series phases into. Spent Primary years of lunch times reading in library as well as at home.

If you're like fantasy and dragons I recommend this book series. It is well written and considers different aspects of dragon bonding while being realistic and relevant to the plot.
