What better way to start Black History Month than to pause and acknowledge the blessings that are still coming down. 🖤

🗣️ I was published in The New York Times, not just quoted, but interviewed, with a half-page photo in the Business section on personal finance. 😩🙌🏽

The article focused on helping seniors, who are often the prime targets for scams, and how to avoid financial mistakes.

I am truly grateful, humbled, and genuinely thankful to do the work I do with an amazing team at @ygcwealth, and to the families that trust us to be in lock step with them every step of the way. 🤓

🚨 PSA FOR PARENTS - Most parents don’t realize 👇🏽

Naming your minor child as the beneficiary on your investment, TOD, or retirement account can unintentionally create court involvement, delays, and loss of control over how those funds are used.

Minors can’t legally inherit assets outright so without proper planning, the court may step in to decide who manages the money and when your child gets full access.

Think twice. Plan intentionally.

As we continue to discuss and get educated around estate planning, make sure your beneficiary designations align with your estate plan. Talk to an Estate Attorney for your specific needs.

Two years ago today, I gave birth to my baby girl, Romina. 💕

One year ago, while planning her first birthday, I was quietly preparing to birth something else.

@ygcwealth was relaunched during nap times, late nights, long weekends, and in between feedings. I was building financial plans for families while learning how to be a mother of two.

Romina turns 2 today. 🥳 And YGC Wealth turns 1. 🥂

Two very different kinds of love, but both so deeply connected.

Motherhood has stretched me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Entrepreneurship continues to challenge and inspire me daily. And somehow, the two journeys keep teaching me about purpose, legacy, and the power of starting again, with intention.

So today, I celebrate my daughter, the bright light who made me a mama of two.
And I celebrate YGC Wealth the vision that keeps evolving as I do. 🤓

Happy 2nd birthday, Romina. 😘

Deeply honored to be featured by my alma mater, @virginia.tech the place where so much of this journey began.

In the latest @vt_alumni Magazine I offered some personal financial guidance for college students, recent grads, those ten years post-grad, and even folks approaching retirement. No matter where you are, there’s always room to grow, plan, and dream.

📸 The photo in the magazine was taken during a tender season—my daughter was barely one, and I was in the middle of relaunching my firm @ygcwealth. Now she’s running around with joy and laughter, reminding me every day why I do this.

As a mom and a business owner, there are days when it all feels like a lot. The truth is, you don’t have to do it all at once. Just take it one day at a time. 😮‍💨

I hope my story serves as a gentle reminder that it can be done… step by step, with grace, faith, and a little community around you.

And most of all, I hope my kids look back one day and say, “If my mom could do it, I can too.” 🫶🏽
