We’re proud to celebrate 175 years of the Y and the incredible people and communities who have carried our mission forward. Here in Memphis & the Mid-South, the Y has become a place for togetherness, connection, and life-changing relationships.

And that means celebrating YOU.
Because without you, there is no Y.
Without you, this place isn’t special.
Without you, this place doesn’t work.

But with you? There’s truly no place like this place.

A stronger community starts with people who care about one another💙

Every day across the Mid-South, we see members, volunteers, staff and families showing what it means to come together.

Thank you for being part of our Y community.

Before long, a new community hub will open its doors in @lakelandtn: the Lakeland Community Center YMCA.

A place for families to learn and grow together. A place where new friendships begin and old ones grow stronger. A place where community comes together.

We were proud to celebrate this milestone alongside the City of Lakeland and community members. Together, we left our mark on a piece of history by signing a beam that will become part of the new center.

And just like that, the first memories are already being made. 🫶

One. Beam. Closer. 😍

What a milestone to celebrate alongside the City of @lakelandtn! Together, we signed a beam that will become a permanent part of the new Lakeland Community Center YMCA.

Hear from YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South President & CEO Brian McLaughlin about what this new center will mean for the Lakeland community.

The Y is more than a place to work out.

It’s where kids find mentors. Where families find community. Where neighbors become friends. And where everyone has an opportunity to grow stronger — together.

That’s what it means to be part of the Y💙

Big thanks to the @memgrizz for featuring the @ymcamemphis, alongside our other non-profit friends from @mifamemphis, @midsouthfoodbank & @catholiccharitieswtn, during today’s open practice! We had a blast watching the team in action - can’t wait for another season with #grizznation!
