POV: The vision made it out of the group chat.

About 4 months ago, we decided to dream up a space that could serve our incredible creative community and local churches here in SA. A place to spark inspiration, foster collaboration, and bring ideas to life.

8 years sober.

What a wild ride it’s been. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think to myself, “Man, I’ve come so far.”

For the person who’s struggling, battling an addiction, or simply walking through a difficult season, I promise there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

There are a lot of things that have played a role in my journey, but from my personal experience, these three have been huge:

1. Intentionality - Being intentional about separating yourself from the things, people, places, and habits that keep you stuck or pull you back into patterns you’re trying to break free from. You can’t move forward while constantly surrounding yourself with the very things that keep you going backward.

2. Accountability - You need people who will call you higher. People who believe in you and love you enough to call you out, challenge you, and tell you what you may not want to hear. The right people can make all the difference.

3. Community - For me, that looks like being plugged into a local church. Serving others, taking the focus off of myself, sharing my story, letting people into my life, and allowing them to pray for me. Building relationships with like-minded people and doing my best to be a light.

Regardless of what you’re going through, you don’t have to go through it alone.

If you ever need to share something, need some encouragement, or simply need someone to talk to, I’d love to connect.

They say most businesses don’t make it past their first year.

It’s crazy to think that just over two years ago, we took our first step into building something of our own. Since then, we’ve just been figuring it out as we go.

No degrees. No special connections. No blueprint. No example of what it looked like to chase a dream or take a risk just to see what could happen.

Fast forward to today, and we’re still learning every single day. We’re on business #3 (plus a few unused LLCs 😂), and while the journey hasn’t been perfect, it has taught us something I’ll never forget…When you honor God, serve His Church, and genuinely care for people, your life is never wasted. That’s not a promise that everything will be easy or successful, but I do believe you can never go wrong loving people the way Christ loved people.

The other thing I’ve realized is that none of this would be possible without Him. And honestly, none of this would be possible, (for me at least) without the Church. It was there that I was given the opportunity to create, communicate, lead, fail, learn, and constantly “figure it out.” Those opportunities shaped me more than I ever realized at the time.

Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for how this journey has unfolded. And I also know we’re only scratching the surface. That thought is both exciting and terrifying, because I know how hard these last couple years have been. But I also know those same years have become some of the most valuable years of my life. Every setback taught us something. Every risk stretched us. Every challenge prepared us for what’s next.
Me and @nesssuuhhh are living proof that God can lead you through more than you think is possible.

You may not control every circumstance, but you do get to choose your attitude, your effort, your obedience, and whether you’ll keep creating instead of criticizing or complaining.

It won’t be easy. But easy has never built an extraordinary life.

From social media content, to podcasts, to photography, we’re hoping this space will be something that will help people take a step and be able to create.

I can’t wait to see what people decide to step into just by simply knowing this studio is available. We still have some ways to go but one thing is for sure when it’s all finished we’re definitely going to have a dope spot!

Sometimes you just have to do it.

Too many people are waiting for permission when God has already given direction. The truth is, you’re never going to have all the answers. The path won’t always be obvious, and certainty rarely shows up before obedience does.

But something changes when you stop demanding clarity for every step and start trusting God with the next one. You stop trying to control the entire journey and begin making the most of today.

Listen, most opportunities aren’t missed because people lacked talent, resources, or potential. They’re missed because people never moved. They kept waiting for the perfect time, the perfect plan, or the perfect feeling.

But faith has never been about seeing the whole way, It’s about taking the next step. You don’t need to know everything.
You just need enough courage to put one foot in front of the other.

And often, what you’re waiting for is waiting on the other side of your willingness to move.
