a period in my recovery where I was obsessed with long grass, and the life it gave me being in its proximity

A solo ariel performance;
A badass dancing / rappelling two cliff faces and unseen forces
Much like life sometimes
Love their silk rope

Didn’t sleep. Danced it out instead.
Somewhere between qi gong, a tree worship ceremony, and sleep-deprived freestyle.
It felt good then, looks weird now.
But weird is what makes me feel whole again.
Nature holds it all.
My early morning witching hours 😉

Hello again - or maybe for the first time.
I’ve been quiet for a while, reshaped by Long Covid / Chronic fatigue. Stillness became my teacher, healing my body and reminding me of something I’d nearly lost: my voice. Now, something is shifting. I feel the urge to create - not to impress… but to expresssssss…
To share gently, honestly. To make performance part of healing. Here’s to small starts, slow visibility, and finding my way forward - in my own time. Let’s play. 💫

#granma and her puppies!

Change of scene and a force to be reckoned with, granma came out of a hip opp and straight into delivering the litter, 8 weeks ago!

Playful, fearless and they bounce back.
Enjoying; the sky, trees, fresh air, the nurturing, care and cuddles, and the softest belly’s, fresh ideas, new perspectives, peaceful, soothing and reenergising environments. A reboot for feeling the tugs of creativity.

Visiting family and going to the countryside, embracing these moments.

Relish seeing how my grandmother lives…. 20 chickens! So much energy😅! Very outdoorsy, resourceful and grows her own veg. Wonder if I’m missing a trick or two here…

Am always reminded how impactful these environments can be, and wonder to how much regular exposure, over longer periods of time can enable us to thrive? … especially for neuro divergent minds/SPD/overwhelm

How to embrace micro moments of joy/calm/self soothe when in the city? Wonder what other peoples resources are for this…

Feel very grateful to make it here :)

So easily forget what it’s like when I can’t walk anywhere during ‘bad spurts’. …Must be getting better 🌼. Hard to tell sometimes as recovery is so slow 🙂

Sending my love and awareness to people living with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, long covid, anything alike… ❤️.

#worldegoawarenessday Just saw this a thought, gosh how much it has an impact on everything we do…

In the day to day, our ego can cause all sorts of conflicts internally and in relationships.

To name a few - inferiority complexes, stress, sexism, false sense of superiority, addiction, lack of empathy… and how the letting go a smidgen… or listening to someone else’s advice can help with the clutching of the ego’s stress-provoking grip.

As a reflection
I wondered for gaining more of an understanding of it and how it plays into interactions with people around us.

… it maybe harming others around us as a form to control our own imbalanced egos…

As well as trying to manage our reactions to others presentations of ego.

… It’s likely one degree or more in everyone

Socially Engaged Theatre inherently works to build on natural confidence and self-awareness, as opposed to the ego which can be a barrier to personal growth. I offer workshops to inspire people to step into their creative expression.

Using theatre, sensory-based movement and creativity in whichever capacity and means available, in any given moment.

Watch this space…🙂
