❤️ We finally opened. After years of planning, building, tasting and dreaming, we spent this weekend welcoming our first guests back to 78 Low Petergate for our soft opening.
It’s a huge moment for us. York Roast Co started as a father-and-son family business over 20 years ago, and this new chapter wouldn’t have been possible without the passion, support and hard work of our team, partners and customers.
Over the weekend, hundreds of you came through our doors to explore the new shop, try the new menu and share your thoughts.
Seeing your smiles, hearing your feedback and feeling your support made every late night and every challenge worthwhile. We’re still learning, still improving and still finding our feet, but we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.
Thank you for giving our team such a warm welcome.
This is only the beginning.

Our new menu is all about reimagining the Great British Roast.

Now, don’t get us wrong, it’s pretty much perfect as it is. But if coming up with The YorkyPud™️ Wrap all those years ago taught us anything, it’s that there’s a hearty appetite for fun and exciting new ways to enjoy it.

We can’t wait for you to see our new look and try our new menu when #LowPetergateYork reopens very, very soon! by @yorkroastco

Side effects may include missing roast dinners, craving gravy, and thinking about Yorkshire puddings 24/7. 🤪

Luckily, we’re still roasting every day at 📍4 Stonegate, York and 📍15 Bridge Street, Chester, while we put the finishing touches on our new home at #LowPetergateYork. taken in The York Roast Co. by @yorkroastco
