I am Beyond grateful for the Opportunity to play a small role in the making of a beautiful story! A story that I can resonate with, a story that represents the culture and lifestyle of inner city kids finding their way! To my friend, my mentor, @mercedes_cook_ Thank you! Thank you for trusting me, believing in my talent, respecting my eye in the craft of costume design, trusting my input, and Leading our Team with Grace, professionalism and style! I had the most amazing time on this team! This opportunity had the power to pull me out of one of the darkest spaces that I’ve been in creatively; and has allowed me to see myself for who I truly am and who I’m destined to be! From the early calls, on-the-day fittings, 6 and 7th day work days; it has all been worth it! Not only was the Costume department a honor to work in, the cast, the producers, the writers, the directors, and the entire crew welcomed me in like family! And to be apart of another amazing story created by the incomparable @lenawaithe put the cherry on top! It was magic!! Everybody please go stream the season finale of @shothechi ! 9 months in Texas! 9 months of Research on Cowboy Culture! Realizing that it’s not just about Horses, Cowboy hats, cowboy boots and Honky tonks… it’s a way of life! The Ranches, the Spurs, the Chaps, the boots, the turquoise, The Hats, the love of having cattle and Horses, and just The overall life of a Cowboy was breathtaking! Even understanding the way a Montana Cowboy differs from a Texas Cowboy was something so cool to explore! One of my favorite things about the work that I do is the Research! To challenge myself and learn outside of comfortably. To understand the why. To dive deep into history and Heritage… and #RioPaloma aka #Dutton Ranch challenged me to go beyond the surface, to stay the course no matter how bumpy the ride got. So I just want to say Thank you to the Amazing Costume Designers for giving me an opportunity to be apart of this show and for seeing me, trusting me, and letting me shine✨ ! I am forever grateful! It took me a minute to post this because honestly what is even happening! It’s like I’m looking at a young man with Baby Josh face 🥺. As much as I don’t want to admit it, I know you’re ready for the world Neph! Dressing you for your prom was my highest honor. And honestly this was the best project I ever worked on! Even tho I wanted you to wear “shoes” it’s always my job to collaborate with my clients and meet them in the middle. And you came Trimmmmmmmm! WOW. I can’t believe this is real 🥺. Prom? Graduation in a few weeks?. I am really not ok! My sister have an 18 year old. That’s crazy. Where is the baby that I used to rock to sleep? 🥺🥺🥺😩😩😩🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾. by @youknowtiera

ICONIC! Forever grateful to Shiona, Mel and the whole team for inviting me backs for a few days, to assist on the Bey 🐝 Style Team for the COWBOY CARTER TOUR! WOW! A time was had 🫶🏾🙏🏾I still have dreams about all the looks that didn’t even make it to stage 😩😭. Shiona really had looks on looks in the chamber!!!! 🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾! Thank you, FR! A Blessing! A Honor! My Pleasure. Sometimes I look back at the young Tee, and say; girl we really got it out the mud! I don’t take for granted that I am so privileged to have peers and mentors that push me to be better, who push me beyond belief , who see things in me that I don’t always see in my self! To work alongside my career icon is crazy work! But God said when prayers go up, blessings come down! I think one of my greatest strengths is to ALWAYS be a student of the craft. To learn the old school and the new school way of things.. people always ask me how did I get the opportunity to work so often and with the best of the best… and my answer will always be…. You must be coachable… and work hard… your reputation is EVERYTHING in this industry!!! and I think that, That helps me Transcend to new levels. I’m so excited to see what God has next for me 🫶🏾👏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾. P.S. im so nervous in front of the camera!! I literally kept dodging the camera crew lol! Thank you @essencefest for having me at the Hollywood House-Costume & Culture panel. Watching two of my friends and Mentors @fresh2impress & @mercedes_cook_ discuss our love for Costume Design, the process of storytelling through the Art of clothing, concurring creative challenges while collaborating with with fellow artist during a production, breaking down a script, and the heart and grit it takes to make it in this industry was truly inspiring. I am so proud & so full 🤍. May God continue to bless us with this gift that keeps on giving 💫e by @youknowtiera
