Hey Y'all,

The New Orleans Film Society is pairing up again with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra to welcome spooky season with a one-night-only screening of the 1922 classic Nosferatu, accompanied by a 55-piece orchestra performing the score live.

To make this special experience more accessible to New Orleans artists and the broader creative community, they're offering artists 50% off tickets, bringing the ticket price down to $24.

They created this offer specifically to make an experience combining live orchestral music and cinema more accessible to the people who make New Orleans such an extraordinary creative city. It’s their small way to say thank you.

• Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 PM (one night only!)
• Jefferson Performing Arts Center
• Artist discount code: ARTISTS50

🎬 Look out for your crew — and yourself. 🎬

Mental Health First Aid Virtual Training is now open for registration! This course gives you real, practical skills to recognize when someone may be struggling with a mental health or substance use issue, offer initial support, and help connect them to the right care.

📋 How it works:
✅ 2-hour self-paced online pre-work
✅ 6-hour live virtual instructor-led session (camera + mic required, Zoom needed)
✅ Short post-class quiz & evaluation
✅ Earn a 3-year Mental Health First Aider certification

⏰ Heads up: Registration closes 3 days before each class so there's time to finish your pre-work — so don't wait until the last minute to sign up! New class dates are added monthly, so check back if nothing fits your schedule right now.

💰 Cost shouldn't be a barrier:
🔹 IATSE members & those working under IATSE agreements may qualify for Training Trust Fund reimbursement
🔹 Scholarships (partial & full) are available for those not eligible for reimbursement

This is one of the most valuable trainings you can take for yourself and your crew. Mental health support starts with knowing what to look for.

👉 Full details, upcoming class calendar, and registration info at the link in our bio.
