Buckle up: it’s about to get a little cheesy. And we’re not talking about the set (at least not only…)

B2B would in this case be best described as bestie2bestie. We’ve known each other for many years and from the start music was the key theme. We were hosting nights at now defunct Arena Club, started nerding up about records, felt a similar understanding of what music means to us. One worked in labels, the other one got into writing about music for the magazines and for the geeks. Years later this friendship is much more than music, yet it remains the center piece we keep coming back to. If it’s driving along the Japanese countryside showing us our favorite driving tracks or distinguishing the very good of Italo Disco from the very bad. Or countless bedroom DJ Sets with our friends hanging in the back sipping bottles of bubbly.

Traumburg was just another offspring off this communal admiration for music. And even if we both are one of the few who played every single edition at Schloss Dornburg, we never managed to play a set together. While it became clear this might be the very last edition of Traumburg we had to grab the opportunity of playing a dream slot at our favorite garden party. And to play all the things we played all these years: the cheese, the trippy, the smart, the silly.

So, to cut it short: here’s to bangers, here’s to garden parties, long live DIY, to sharing tracks and love since 2018! 💖

I take many photos on my phone of scenes that seem random. It’s just things that I find aesthetic. I wanted to find out if they have anything in common. To find out what aesthetics attract me in public spaces. For that I created this photo book a while back. It’s unbound and can be re arranged and extended in endless ways. Each photo is equipped with a variety of tags. Re arrange, challenge new confrontations and see for yourself what unites them. Or separates… :)
