NEXT TRAINING STARTS NOVEMBER 18!
10 weeks to become a certified breathwork facilitator, with a Christmas and New Year’s break so you can enjoy the holidays without falling behind.

We created MindDate because we wanted to offer the training we wish we’d had when we started.
After spending almost €25,000 on different certifications, we kept feeling that something was missing. The techniques were powerful, but what about the science? The nervous system? Trauma-informed practice? Music, coaching, safety and the art of actually holding space?

So we brought it all together. 🤎

Our training goes far beyond learning how to guide a breathing technique. We teach you how to understand the body, work with different nervous systems, honor the roots of breathwork and create experiences that feel like YOU.
You’ll explore a wide range of breathing techniques, learn how to build your own classes, work with music and sound, develop your coaching skills and discover your own unique style as a facilitator.

Because we don’t want to create another hundred facilitators who all teach the same class.

We want you to leave with the knowledge, confidence and freedom to create something of your own.
November 18 is your opportunity to begin.

Comment TRAINING and we’ll send you all the information, the full schedule and a link to book a free clarity call with us. We’d love to meet you! 🤎

Day 4 with James Nestor in Ericeira was pure gold. In our breathwork facilitator training in Portugal, we dug into real-world physiology, why indoor CO2 levels climb, how poor ventilation hits focus, mood, and sleep quality, and why fresh air plus nasal breathing matter in every session. We linked CO2 and air quality to ADHD and sleep, talked snoring, sleep apnea, gentle mouth tape, and what to consider for kids at different developmental stages before trying breathwork.

We went deeper on biomechanics, ribcage mobility, diaphragm breathing, pacing, and the BOLT score, turning science into cues you can use tomorrow. Then we flipped the dial, a calm biomechanics practice followed by a high-intensity breathwork session to stress and reset nervous system regulation inside a trauma-informed breathwork container. The room melted afterward, bodies on mats, full release.

Community, good food at Sunday House, Ericeira breathwork vibes, a lot of laughter, and an ocean lookout to close the day.

Yes, these are normal reactions in Breathwork sessions… ❤️

Crying, laughing, shaking, feeling anger, sadness, joy or emotions you can’t quite explain.

Breathwork affects more than just your lungs. It influences your nervous system, brain activity, body chemistry and the way you experience emotions.

But here’s something we wish more facilitators understood:

Just because an emotional release is normal doesn’t mean we should try to create one.

More intensity doesn’t mean more healing.
More tears don’t mean deeper processing.
And pushing someone beyond their capacity isn’t a breakthrough.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do as a facilitator is LESS.

Less intensity. Less pressure. More choice. More awareness.

Your job isn’t to make people release emotions. It’s to create an environment where they feel safe enough to experience whatever naturally arises.

And sometimes, that means no emotional release at all.

That’s why trauma-sensitive facilitation is such a big part of what we teach at MindDate. 🤎

How often do we let fear make decisions for us? How many dreams do we quietly put aside because we’re waiting to feel ready, confident or good enough?

You miss 100% of the chances you never take.

And even when things don’t work out the way you imagined, you grow. You learn. You discover what you’re capable of.

When we first started our Breathwork Facilitator Trainings, we had no idea where they would take us. Today, we’ve trained people from all over the world, watched them build beautiful businesses, find their purpose and change other people’s lives.

And to think that none of this would have happened if we’d listened to our doubts.

So here’s something I want you to ask yourself:

When you’re 80 years old, looking back at your life, what would hurt more? Trying something you deeply believed in and failing, or never finding out what could have been?

If becoming a breathwork facilitator has been sitting somewhere in your heart, maybe it’s time to give that dream a real chance.

Comment TRAINING and let’s talk about making it happen. 🌬️🤎

What about the other 23 hours of your day? 🫁

Breathwork is SO much more than hyperventilation, emotional release and altered states of consciousness.

Because what happens when the session ends?

How are you breathing when you’re working, driving, sleeping or dealing with stress?

Are you constantly overbreathing? Holding your breath? Breathing through your mouth without even noticing?

And more importantly, WHY?

Sometimes our breathing patterns reflect something much deeper. The constant need to perform, the inability to slow down, the feeling that we always need to be doing MORE.

And while we can use breathwork to regulate our nervous system, shouldn’t we also explore what’s keeping us stressed in the first place?

That’s why functional breathing is such an important part of our MindDate Facilitator Training.

We believe in the power of emotional release and deep transformational journeys, but also in respiratory physiology, CO₂ tolerance, everyday breathing habits and understanding the psychology behind them.

Because a powerful breathwork session might change how you feel for an hour.

But how you breathe and live during the other 23 hours matters just as much. 🤎

Comment TRAINING if you want to learn both sides of breathwork.

The best part? You can call this your job?! 🤯 That’s even more insane.

Seriously, sometimes I cannot believe that we get to teach people something THIS extraordinary.

We have this incredible ability to consciously influence our own physiology, and most of us go through life barely scratching the surface of what our breath can do.

We can influence our heart rhythm, change our blood chemistry, affect activity in our brain and shift how we experience our emotions.

ALL THROUGH BREATHING.

And the more I learn about it, the more fascinated I become.

But here’s what makes it even more beautiful.

As a breathwork facilitator, you get to witness people discovering this for themselves.

The moment someone realizes they have more influence over how they feel than they ever imagined.

The moment they reconnect with their body.

The moment something finally clicks.

And you get to create the space for that to happen. 🥹

Of course, understanding the science, the risks and how to guide people safely is what turns this fascination into a real skill.

That’s exactly why we created our MindDate Breathwork Facilitator Training.

Because something this powerful deserves to be understood, respected and shared responsibly.

Imagine making THAT your job.

Want to make money with breathwork? Your first step might have nothing to do with breathing. 👀

Whether you’re dreaming of becoming a breathwork facilitator or you’re already certified and struggling to turn your passion into a business, there’s something you need to look at.

Your mindset around money, success, and your own worth.

Because you can have the most beautiful sessions, the best playlists, and all the certifications in the world.

But if deep down you don’t believe you’re good enough, feel uncomfortable charging money, or are terrified of putting yourself out there, those skills alone won’t build your business.

And THIS is where so many people get stuck.

They keep collecting certifications, learning new techniques, and convincing themselves they need ONE more thing before they’re ready.

When in reality, the work they need to do goes much deeper.

Your money beliefs. Your fear of judgment. Your imposter syndrome. Your relationship with success. Your ability to take action even when you’re uncomfortable.

And here’s the uncomfortable part:

It’s easy to blame the algorithm, the market, the competition, or the fact that people “don’t want to pay for breathwork.”

It’s much harder to recognize the ways you might be holding yourself back.

Of course, proper education is essential to facilitate safely and confidently. But a certificate alone won’t create a successful business.

You also need to learn how to communicate your value, charge for your work, and show up consistently.

And the best time to start that inner work? BEFORE you even become a facilitator.

This is exactly why mindset, money beliefs, and business development are part of our MindDate Facilitator Training.

Because we don’t just want to teach people how to hold incredible breathwork sessions.

We want them to have the confidence and tools to actually build a living doing what they love.

💬 What’s holding you back from making money doing something you love?

Sorry, we tried. 😂

But seriously, here’s what’s wild:

🫁 Just 5 minutes of slow breathing increases heart rate variability, a marker of how your nervous system responds to stress.

🧠 Slow breathing influences the brain networks involved in attention, emotion and arousal.

❤️ Your heart rate begins to change within just a few breaths.

🔥 A Stanford study found that 5 minutes of daily breathwork, particularly exhale-focused breathing, improved mood and reduced physiological arousal over 28 days.

And the craziest part? You’re carrying this tool around with you 24/7.

Now go breathe. 😂

there’s a responsibility that comes with saying, “you can let go here.”

because someone might actually let go and something tender might surface. and the way you meet them in that moment matters.

holding space asks us to understand consent, boundaries, our own capacity, and the limits of what we can offer. to let someone have their own experience without needing to fix it or make it mean something.

we’re human, too. some days we can barely hold ourselves. learning to recognize that is part of becoming a facilitator someone can trust.

what i appreciated about Your Mind Date’s breathwork facilitator training was the care given to the ethics of holding space. learning how to create a container with safety and care at its center, alongside tools to show up authentically as myself.

because i want to bring my whole self into the room. with discernment and responsibility that this work deserves.

if you feel called to facilitate breathwork, this is a part of the work worth learning. send me a dm for 10% off of @your.minddate next training

Should you avoid intense breathwork during your period? 🩸

Personally, I prefer to adjust my practice during the first days of bleeding. And there are some interesting physiological reasons behind that.

During menstruation, estrogen and progesterone are at their lowest, prostaglandins trigger uterine contractions, and your body is already going through significant changes.

Now add an intense breathwork session.

Rapid changes in CO₂, blood pH, cerebral blood flow, cardiovascular activity, and nervous system activation all create physiological demands. Combine that with menstrual cramps, fatigue, or increased emotional sensitivity, and intense breathwork isn’t necessarily the most supportive choice.

And remember, feeling deeply relaxed AFTER breathwork doesn’t mean your body wasn’t experiencing physiological stress DURING it.

Would I skip a breathwork session I’ve booked, been looking forward to, and am genuinely excited about just because I’m bleeding?

Probably not! 🤎

But would I consciously choose to do intense breathwork every day throughout my period?

No. I’d rather give my body some space and incorporate slower, gentler practices during those days.

This isn’t about saying intense breathwork is harmful during menstruation. Research hasn’t established that. It’s about understanding the physiology and making informed choices based on how you feel.

There is so many ways to practice Breathwork, it doesn’t always need to be intense and “releasing”.

I think the deeper message here is less about breathwork itself and more about our obsession with arriving somewhere.

We want to be healed. Regulated. Successful. Peaceful. Finally free from the parts of ourselves that make life uncomfortable.

And maybe that’s where we get it wrong.

The goal was never to reach a permanent state where nothing triggers you anymore. Where you never lose yourself, never get angry, never feel afraid, never question your path.

Life will keep moving you.

You will meet versions of yourself you thought you had outgrown. Old patterns will show up in new places. There will be seasons where everything feels clear and seasons where you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.

A practice doesn’t remove that.

It gives you somewhere to meet yourself inside of it.

Breathwork can open doors. It can show you something you couldn’t see before. It can create moments of incredible clarity.

But eventually you have to get off the mat and live what you understood there.

Maybe that’s what the work really is.

Not becoming someone who has figured life out.

Becoming someone who is willing to keep meeting it.
