Cleansing Powders – Suggestions ✨

I have to admit that I was a little uncertain with the idea of cleansing powders… until I tried them.

Once I did, I could only focus on the benefits:

🔸have waterless formulas
🔸means less preservatives
🔸longer shelf lives.
🔸great to travel with
🔸usually are very gentle on the skin

I know it can be a little weird at first, but I’d say they are well worth a try.

Have you tried a cleansing powder? Tell me your favorites!

Heimish All Clean Balm Mandarin 🍊

Have you guys used this cleansing balm lately?

Because I kind of need your help to figure out what’s going on with it.

This is maybe my third time using it and the first ones were very good. They had a very nice scent and removed my makeup as perfectly as my beloved original. Then I spent some time using other products, until I recently bought this one.

So I take it on vacation, and on my first day removing my makeup… it has this very weird smell, still citric but...fake and weird. It doesn’t really smell rotten but it’s not great. And I could even tolerate that. The worst part is how it feels on the skin. Very waxy and hard to remove even with warm water. It doesn’t remove my makeup the way it used to but leaves a very waxy film behind.

This never happened before with the All Clean balms (this one or the original unscented), but it has been more than a year since I last used them. Do you know if they changed the formula or there was some problem with this specific product?

I really hope it was only a bad batch or something, because they used to be amazing and this time I couldn’t even keep using it.

Any thoughts???

How to Reduce Hyperpigmentation ✨

Hyperpigmentation can have some different causes

🔺Post-Inflammatory Pigmentation (acne scars)
🔺Melasma
🔺Sun damage

It's not easy to fight hyperpigmentation because it takes time and patience. But fortunately there's a long list of ingredients that you can include in your skincare routine to help with that.

These ingredients will directly reduce melanin production

✨ Vitamin C
✨ Niacinamide
✨ Alpha Arbutin
✨ Kojic Acid
✨ Azelaic Acid

These will help cellular turnover and even the skin tone:

✨ Retinol
✨ Exfoliants (AHA's/BHA's)

And of course, one will always protect your skin against UV rays and avoid hyperpigmentation in the first place:

✨ Sunscreen

Do you have hyperpigmentation?
Which of these do you use?

Byoma Bio-Collagen Radiance Face Mask 💕

Don’t you love when you buy a product thinking it will be a useless gimmick and it turns out to become one of your favorites?

That’s what happened with the @byoma Bio-Collagen Radiance Mask. I took a look at the videos and thought “Nope, that can’t be true”. So the first time I tried it I was convinced I would have some fun with that doll look while the mask is applied, then it would be fun to peel it off but that would be it.

Now imagine my surprise when I peel that thing off and my skin looks incredible! And the next day my mom asked me what I used because my skin was glowing without makeup on.

Well, it was the “gimmicky” mask!

Not only is this very fun to apply and use, even funnier to peel off but the best part? The results! The dewy, almost glass-like skin that lasts for days! And it’s actually very affordable!

It went straight to my Top 3 of favorite masks!
Have you tried the mask?

Alternatives to Hyaluronic Acid - Part 1💦

We all know and most of us love Hyaluronic Acid, especially considering that it's everywhere!

But some of us suffer some irritation or other reactions with it. Personally I’ve stopped using dedicated serums because not only do they do very little for my skin, but also because I notice some irritation after a while.
Luckily we have a long list of other ingredients with similar benefits.

Do you use Hyaluronic Acid or one of the alternatives?

@revoxb77 Just Multi-Peptide Eye Contour & Peptide Multi-Cocktail Serum

*PR Gifted

Two Peptide Serums. One for the eyes and the other for the face.

To be very honest, they feel basically the same. But that’s a good thing, because “the same” is very very good.

These two are by far, the most hydrating peptide serums I’ve ever used. Very little goes a long way and they slide perfectly through the skin, sinking in in a matter of seconds.

The main difference between the two?

The eye serum has caffeine to help with dark circles and puffiness while face serum has arginine to help promote collagen production, bringing firmness and elasticity to the skin.

They both leave that feeling of hydration boost and make the skin feel plump all day.

If you have dry, even dehydrated, I’d say these two are well worth a try! Very good, very straightforward and very affordable.

Ectoin What it is & Benefits

Lately it seems like Ectoin is everywhere! Several brands launched new products with it, but it’s a skincare ingredient that has been around for a long time, studied at least since 1985.

This means that the research is solid and well tested, even though it seems like a new thing to most of us.

Why is Ectoin suddenly so important in a skincare routine?

It’s one of those great skincare ingredients well tolerated by almost every skin type, that can be paired with almost everything and, most of all, it has a protective goal.

Think of it as a shield, able to protect the skin against most of the daily stressors (cold, heat, dryness, UV radiation, pollen, pollution, bacteria, etc. This will help hydrate skin and promote a healthy and strong skin barrier, so inevitably, it will bring a glowing look.

Have you tried Ectoin? What’s your favorite Ectoin product?

Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Strengthening Treatment Oil

How is it possible that one single drop of this @briogeo oil can change my hair completely? It can look stunning or turn it into a mess!

But let’s start from the beginning.

⁉️ What is this oil?

It’s a complex of Macadamia nuts, Ceramides and Rosehip Oil that hydrates the hair and prevents split ends, bringing a glossy look. It also prevents damage from heat and chemicals.

🧐 My experience with it?

So, I wash my extremely oily hair and use a towel to remove any water, but before I blow dry it, I apply ONE single drop of the oil on my hand and rub it all over my hair. One single drop! And the result is splendid, stunning hair, full of life, like a shampoo commercial.

Now if I use two drops of it, then I have a problem and my hair will look like an oily mess until I wash it again. So I try to avoid that mistake as much as possible.

💭 The results

With continuous use, my hair looks so nice, glowy, strong, no split ends… even the colour looks brighter. But like I said, ONE single drop! And it’s hair perfection!

⚠️ My only issue

My biggest issue with my ONE DROP rule? The bottle doesn’t have a dropper and it’s not easy to make one single drop fall. But please keep in mind that I have very oily hair. Normal and dry hair types can probably use a bit more.

Antioxidant Ingredients

I'm sure you already have antioxidants in your skincare routine, even if you're not fully aware of their benefits. A lifetime ago (not really, just back in 2024), I did an entire post about the benefits of antioxidants in skincare but let's have a quick reminder.

The antioxidants:

🔸protect against free radicals
🔸help celular renewal
🔸prevent early signs of aging
🔸stimulate collagen and elastic production
🔸increase skin regeneration
🔸reduce inflammation
🔸even skin tone and texture

So here's a list of great antioxidant ingredients you should look for in your skincare products:

🔹Vitamin C
🔹Ferulic Acid
🔹Bakuchiol
🔹Resveratrol
🔹Green Tea
🔹Caffeine
🔹Copper
🔹Vitamin E
🔹Coenzyme Q10
🔹Niacinamide

💢Quick tip: Antioxidant ingredients are more efficient when applied in the morning. They help protect the skin against free radicals and they will also boost the benefits from your sunscreen.

What is your favorite antioxidant ingredient in your skincare?

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing

Let me start by telling you that this post has been lost in my phone all done and ready for over a year. But my thoughts about the serum are still the same so why redoing it? (Yeah, I'm lazy!)

I fell in love with @jumiso_global All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum the moment I first used it. It's a huge boost of different vitamins and soothing skincare ingredients like Panthenol and Centella Asiatica.

I love everything about it from the soft scent to the bright and beautiful glow it brings to my skin, not to mention how hydrating it feels.

Even though I'm not using it at the moment, I went through several bottles of it and will definitely use it again in the future.

Have you tried the serum?

Niacinamide Pairs Well With

At this point, I think we all know about Niacinamide and most of us actually love it. And with good reason, as it:

🔸 Reduces hyperpigmentation
🔸 Helps fading acne
🔸 Brightens the skin
🔸 Stimulates collagen and elastin production

It’s usually well tolerated, especially in lower concentrations (3-5%), and once you’re used to it can go a little higher if your skin allows it (10-12%),

Sometimes pairing it can be tricky, so here’s a list of ingredients that usually work well with Niacinamide in a skincare routine.

🔹Hyaluronic Acid
🔹Alpha Arbutin
🔹Retinoids
🔹Vitamin C (only if your skin can tolerate it, so go with caution)
🔹Salicylic Acid (mostly for oily skin types and preferably Niacinamide in the morning routine and SA at night).

Which ingredients do you pair with Niacinamide?
