I’ve spent a lot of years wondering if I’m making you proud.

If you can see me. If you know how much of who I am today is because I got the privilege of being your mom, even if I didn’t get nearly enough time with you.

The love I experienced through you was the purest love I have ever known. And while I’ll always wish I could’ve experienced that love for longer, I’m so grateful I got to experience it at all.

So I’ll keep saying your name. I’ll keep telling your story. I’ll keep putting your name in rooms you never got the chance to walk into and honestly, rooms I never imagined I’d be in either.

Everything I do in your name is my way of making sure your life continues to matter beyond the time you were physically here.

I hope you hear me.
I hope you see me.
I hope you feel my love.
And more than anything, I hope I’m making you proud. 💙

Forever your mom. 🥹 by @yp27

August 10 💙 A Day of Reflection.

Years ago, @dessomajor and @yp27 experienced the unimaginable—the loss of their son, Kaiden. In this never-before-seen sit-down with @dessomajor and @yp27 , I witnessed what is possible when two people who have suffered an unimaginable loss allow time, love, healing, and God to continue writing the story.

Not every story ends the way it began. Sometimes healing looks like arriving at a place where you can sit across from one another, honor what you shared, appreciate who the other person has become, and smile again.

It literally melts my heart to have witnessed these two smile—to hear them reflect, to see the grace between them, and to experience Kaiden’s presence so supernaturally throughout this experience.

Some love doesn’t disappear. It changes form. And some people will forever be connected by a life, a love, and a story that mattered.

God bless you both. And rest in heavenly peace, Kaiden. 💙

The full episode is out now on The Healing Social, shared in honor of Kaiden and every parent learning how to carry love after loss.
