🎥 Looking for a DoP? I’m Yue.

Hi everyone, I’m Yue — a London-based cinematographer.#cinematographer #film
Graduated from MetFilm School, I’d call myself a bit of a romantic, always exploring how to tell stories through light and shadow.

My style in a nutshell:
🎬 Lenses: romantic but precise
💸 Budgets: small ones don’t scare me
🧑‍🎥 Personality: the quiet type — less talk, more work

What I bring to the table:
• Own kit: camera bodies, lenses, lighting — honestly, my gear might be more reliable than me.
• Multi-role skills: can work as DoP or step in as a gaffer.
• Cross-cultural collabs: shot projects in London, China, and Japan — communication is never a problem.
• Languages: native Chinese + “good enough” English to get things done on any set.

Collaboration mindset:
What excites me most is a good script or a project with heart.
If a story really moves me, I’m happy to waive my fee and just focus on the craft. My simple goal: work with directors and producers to create images that feel more alive than reality itself.

Outside of set, I’m a movie addict. Current favorites include: La Cérémonie, Sinners, The Brutalist, Showgirls, Cold Fish, Kagero-za, F1, The Celebration, Breaking the Waves, Billy Elliot.

📩 If you’re looking for a reliable cinematographer (and maybe save some budget on kit rental), feel free to reach out — let’s talk.#cinematographer #film #londonfilmmakers #dop #onset #setlife🎥 by @yuedop

Production Project | VALORANT Masters London × EDG – A Meal in London

This project was both one of the most stressful and one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had.
Most of the pressure came from myself. With multiple teams and players involved, schedules kept changing and plans were repeatedly rebuilt from scratch. Just four days before the shoot, a tailor shop location was suddenly added to the brief — and two of those four days happened to be a weekend in the UK.

To find the right location, I booked appointments with numerous high-end tailors across London, pretending to be a potential customer simply to get a chance to meet the owners in person. Emails went unanswered, so I started knocking on doors. Somehow, it worked. After the shoot, the tailor told me that he had known from the beginning that I wasn’t actually there to buy a suit — but he appreciated the determination and effort behind what I was trying to do.

What stayed with me most, however, was the kindness I encountered along the way.
The tailor opened his shop 30 minutes early so we could have extra shooting time and even agreed to appear on camera at no cost. The restaurant manager closed part of the venue for us, gave us access to additional filming areas free of charge, and even volunteered to appear as a waiter in the scene, standing by for nearly two hours to help us capture the perfect shot. Wang Pengchao, Zhong Ming, and the entire team were always there whenever difficulties arose, helping turn seemingly impossible situations into reality.

Looking back, it feels like this project was never accomplished by one person alone. It was made possible by countless people who chose to help, support, and believe in it.
My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this project.
EDG, let’s go.#EDG #valorant by @yuedop
