The best kitchens begin with a conversation. You bring the vision, and we bring the craft, the details, and the care to see it through. Every decision is made together, and every finish is chosen with intention. by @yuri.creates
AHJ Project Feature • @ode_design_ In Arlington, Virginia, designer Yuri Sagatov of ODE Design translates urban spatial freedom into a thoughtfully structured modern family sanctuary. Featured - AHJ EDITION 7.0 | 2026, Materiality plays a central role in unifying the architecture. A restrained palette of natural oak, honed limestone, and classic marble grounds the interiors, complemented by flexible communal layouts and expansive black-framed glazing that connects directly to a 13-foot-ceiling screened porch. Upper levels transition into serene, sculptural retreats, highlighted by a dramatic floating staircase, vaulted private suites, and a primary bath centered around a striking black soaking tub set beneath a overhead skylight. Upstairs, the program thoughtfully balances family life and personal sanctuary. A dedicated children’s wing featuring a light-filled lofted play area can be closed off when needed, while the serene primary suite offers vaulted ceilings and a dramatic ensuite anchored by a sculptural black soaking tub set directly beneath a skylight. Materially, a grounded palette of natural oak, limestone, and marble unifies the residence, leading down to a moodier, lounge-like basement “club” finished in dark materials for an immersive, private retreat. AHJ Project Feature • @ode_design_ In Arlington, Virginia, Yuri Sagatov of ODE Design reinterprets urban loft living within a suburban context for a growing family. Securing a rare, wider lot after years of searching allowed the architecture to prioritize horizontal footprint and spatial freedom in a neighborhood typically constrained by tighter zoning. Having previously lived in the city, the homeowners sought a home defined by 12-foot main-level ceilings, open sightlines for supervising children, and total adaptability, where rooms can effortlessly shift between dining, living, and gathering spaces as daily routines evolve. Featured - AHJ EDITION 7.0 | 2026, Sagatov organized the open floor plan through a sequence of deep, framed architectural openings, giving each functional area a distinct identity while maintaining uninterrupted visual flow. Indoor-outdoor living centers around an expansive screened porch featuring 13-foot ceilings that function as a true outdoor room. To maximize efficiency without compromising living area, the home incorporates a tandem “two-wide, two-deep” four-car garage layout. This clever stacking strategy reclaimed the space below to accommodate a home gym and an extra guest bedroom. SWIPE THROUGH and stay tuned for more! AHJ Project Feature • @ode_design_ In Arlington, the very talented Yuri Sagatov of ODE Design translates urban spatial freedom into a thoughtfully structured modern family sanctuary. Featured - AHJ EDITION 7.0 | 2026, “Urban Loft”, reimagines the typical open-plan layout as the residence achieves a grand sense of openness without sacrificing acoustic comfort or visual clarity. The primary level, featuring soaring 12-foot ceilings, is articulated around deep, framed architectural portals that create a continuous, light-filled sequence across the kitchen, dining, and living spaces while maintaining distinct functional identities. “A dynamic balance of openness and structured privacy”, Flexibility was central to the home’s layout. The main floor can be reconfigured across multiple arrangements, allowing rooms to shift seamlessly between dining, living, and gathering spaces as the family’s daily routine evolves. The main living areas, family room, dining, and kitchen, are organized through a series of deep, framed openings that connect the spaces while giving each a distinct identity. This approach creates visual continuity across the floor while maintaining subtle separation, allowing the house to feel both expansive and controlled. SWIPE THROUGH and stay tuned for more! Great design comes down to discernment: the judgment built through years of designing spaces, solving problems, understanding proportion, materials, function and the people who will actually live there. AI is changing the tools designers have at their disposal. But the tool and the designer aren’t the same thing. #interiordesign #architecture #artificalintelligence #ai #rendering by @yuri.creates
A name should mean something. For us, ODE reflects the intention behind every space we create: thoughtful, expressive, and designed to leave an impression. The story of how we arrived there is a little more unexpected. #homedesign #customhome #modernarchitecture #modernhome #interiordesign by @yuri.creates

Part two of our Pavilion House series takes you deeper into the spaces designed for everyday living. Beyond the kitchen and pool are the spaces that shape daily life: a light-filled office, a conversation pit designed for connection, and bedrooms that offer a sense of calm and retreat. Because great design isn’t just about how a space looks. It’s about how it supports the way you live. This week: the living spaces. Follow along. We’re doing something different. For the next few weeks we’re going inside the Pavilion House — one of our most personal builds — and letting the architecture speak for itself. Great design isn’t just structure: it’s art, it’s light. It’s the way a space makes you feel before you even understand why. This week: the kitchen and pool. Follow along. #interiordesign #modern #modernhome #homeinspo #customhome by @yuri.creates
