Paulo,
I hope you can hear me.
I would never have expected to be writing this for you, and a few lines can’t even begin to explain what you meant to me

Paris, Lisbon, Luanda
wherever we were, my brother, we were together.
Thirty days gone, and I still can’t believe it.
I’m still angry, still lost,
and I know that won’t change anytime soon.
But I’m grateful.
Grateful that you were the brother life gave me.
My brother with the most contagious laugh,
and the biggest heart.

There was so much left to dream, to say, to do
So many plans waiting to be finished.
But God’s plan always rules.

Still thank you.
Thank you for the laughs, the adventures,
For always being there when I needed,
For every lesson you didn’t even know you were teaching me.

It’s so unfair, and I’ll never understand it.
But I’ll carry your name with me
and make sure you’re proud of us up there
Now more than ever, I pray there’s a heaven,
so one day I can see you again, my brother.

You will never be forgotten.
This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later.
I love you forever and you know it, my lil big brother. by @yusseni_ftd_
