Exploring Contact
Mondays 18.30-20.00 @dansatelier_maastricht

In these classes we explore basic principles of contact improvisation and partner work.

Topics like sharing weight, leading, following, touch, connecting, blending, and resolving.

The approach to the body is open and sensitive. The emphasis is on the activity of listening to and allowing dance to be expressed through the body, combined with the learning of simple technical and sensory expanding skills.

In these classes, Yvette uses her knowledge of contact improvisation, aikido, partner work and open improvisation to put participants in a state of mind from which dance can arise effortlessly and spontaneously.
