The vastness of the Black experience can be too deep for some to fathom. Someone in the comments of Ms. Hall's post asked, "Why does it matter about her skin color." Missing the context of the entire Post/Experience... "Passing" for some meant survival because their skin color meant death. I appreciate #herstory

I recently happened upon her #findingyourroots

As a young Black boy growing up, James Earl Jones was more than just an actor; he was a powerful symbol of strength, grace, and possibility. My first Black super hero! I saw myself in many of his films that defined my childhood—Star Wars, Lion King, Coming to America... Conan—where his unforgettable presence captured not only the screen but also my imagination. He brought a towering presence to everything he touched, from science fiction to timeless stories of royalty, and in doing so, he gave me—and countless others—a vision of what could be.

His poise, his unmatched stature, and that voice—his voice— nothing short of awe-inspiring. He gave life to characters that transcended the boundaries of race, class, or time. When he spoke, it was as though his words carried a sense of eternal wisdom, something we could all hold on to.

Though he may no longer walk among us, James Earl Jones will forever be with us. His legacy, his body of work, and the barriers he broke will continue to echo through generations. While we may say goodbye to a legend, his influence will live on in the hearts and dreams of those he touched.

Rest in power, James Earl Jones. You will always be our voice of strength and dignity.

... And to complete the throwback triptych #tbt is the wonderful awe-inspiring @taramcpherson. Ms. McPherson's work sometimes looks like the thing of dreams and miracles, and it makes perfectly good sense when you see that she herself is a #miracle . . . As most moms are anyways 😏

Please visit her page and learn about her journey with #chiarimalformation and the awareness, bravery, hope and humanity she has shows.

I'm honored to have meet her and glad I'm able to support her work...
