The red hot plates are spinning as we gear up for October’s music, 12” records, and then some. Trust that we’ve got some seasoned and new servings this month, so come on in with keen ears.

We kick off with Philson’s @whatstheplanphil return to his crates, while Kalen @555dgtl and Haziq @_hzqq_ promise new sounds to the living room thereafter.

We’ve got Choo @chinnian and Bryan @bryanjedidiah sharing records for a first, whilst returning champs Ryan @_the.weatherman and Leland @lelnd continue on, showing off their finds. Zai @z4idj and John T @sideo return to bring us surprises, naturally, — and finally, we welcome Vietnam via US’ Jimmy Gia Huy @huydonist for a special Sunday nightcap to round off the week. taken in Bar Bon Funk by @z4idj

🪩 SOUL POWERED 🪩

29th August — we’re bringing block party vibes to RASA!

Speakers on the pavement, a crowd that came to dance, someone with the right records. That’s where all of this came from, and that’s the energy we’re bringing back — a night of Funk, Soul, Disco, Classic Hip-Hop and the rarest grooves, played by selectors who know how to use them.

Drums you feel before you hear. Basslines that bend your knees. Horns that snap the room to attention. Breaks held longer than they should be.

🎧 On the decks 9 till late: @shane2sweet · @limshbrandon · @z4idj · @raphaellimm

🎤 On the mic: Live performances from @opusrenegade , @slxckbobby and @tengyboy

💃 In the crowd pulling you onto the floor: WATCHA GOT’s @j0jonasty and @raphaellimm — no experience needed, two left feet welcome

Okay, now you’ve met the other half. ⏪

From crate-digging surprises to songs you didn’t realise you missed, and the familiar anthems that somehow still know exactly what to do to a room.

Meet the rest of the PASAR FM: REWIND crew:

🎧 Zai
🎧 Rattle
🎧 Sirkid
🎤 Ash, holding it down on the mic

And because we asked everyone the same question… what song awakens your nostalgia?
This round takes us from 不怕不怕 to Dy-Na-Mi-Tee, Butter-Fly and Anak Ayam.

Which, honestly, is a pretty good reminder that nobody rewinds to quite the same place. 😂

Swipe through to meet them and see what takes each of them back.

Six DJs. One MC. A whole lot of different memories.

📍 Mama Diam
🗓️ Sunday, 30 August 2026
🛍️ Pasar from 2pm | Free Entry
🎶 Party from 4pm
🎟️ Presale [ends on 29th Aug]: S$25 | Door S$30

Now that you’ve seen all seven…

Whose NOW PLAYING made you go, “WAH, THIS SONG”? 👀

Introducing SOUL POWERED | Saturday, 29 August

On the last weekend of the month, we are bringing a completely new energy to the space. Welcome to SOUL POWERED: a proper block party right inside the Hall.

Nothing has ever stopped people from moving. Before the massive clubs and the velvet ropes, all you needed were speakers on the pavement, a crowd ready to sweat, and a selector with the right records. That is the exact spirit we are channeling for this night. A celebration dedicated to Funk, Soul, Disco, Classic Hip-Hop, and rare grooves designed to shake the blues loose.

Expect drums you feel in your chest before you hear them. Basslines that make your knees dip without asking. Horn sections that snap the whole room to attention. We are handing the decks to four groove masters: @shane2sweet, @limshbrandon, @z4idj, and @raphaellimm, who have one single mission: to keep you dancing from 9 till late.

Guiding the room, MC: @j0jonasty stays on the mic all night to keep the energy locked in, backed by live performances from @opus_series and @slickbobby. We’re also teaming up with @watchagot.sg, meaning you won't find the dancers confined to a stage. They’ll be right there in the crowd, pulling you into the cypher.

The Dress Code: Flyest in the Room

Come laced, come loud, and come correct. We’re handing out prizes for the freshest dressed. Whether you’re a vintage head, a sneaker freak, or someone who dresses purely for the joy of it: bring your sharpest threads and your funkiest kicks.

Doors & Music open from 21:00 / Rsvp via link in bio / Purchase 1 drink at the door to enter taken in RASA Space by @z4idj

In August we celebrate, with a flight of groovers ushering in a special month on all fronts.

Few landings from over the globe – New York-based @kush_jones_ of JUKEBOUNCEWERK comes through, followed by Some Guy @deejfabian landing from the Philippines. South Korea’s Soomin @_kimgundi rounds up the month with a Sunday special.

For our anniversary bash with Bar Big Fuzz from the Philippines, we have Secret Pals’ @apetalkstrash @patreekgerard, and Ice Cream Sundays’ @jake_toppings partying it up.

Anchored by familiar and fresh sips, we have Subtle Radio/Dub specialist/UK’s @joevincentdj, 5210PM’s @mrpohjavan, the return of Super Enjoy’s @jenn_though and Sivilian Affairs’ @sivaneshpillai, a National Day pre-game with @z4idj , and the Funk’s @lelnd.

Bring your best selves, we’re all here for a whooping good time.

Update: @howr0ng will be taking over Leland’s set on Sat 22 Aug, from 9pm to late. taken in Bar Bon Funk by @z4idj
