I am +1 today grateful to God!
What a year this has been, with so many highs and Lows but God keeps coming through.

What a month June was and July has been, I graduated from Dalai Lama year long Fellowship program @DLFellows @uvacsc the most amazing self discovery journey I have taken.
The endless love and compassion with 26 leaders from all over the world and 26 new emerging fellows
I got to see family, celebrate my birthday, write the most intense exam ever and about to launch my NGO... I can’t but say it’s all by his grace Jesus...

3 weeks ago may 4th 2019, we by we mean I mean, I as a Dalai Lama Fellow, Your Change for a Change, Universal Care For Africa and Mother Care Initiative, set out to Manduar community Brikama Gambia, to help build a Health team and create a Mother Support Unit, so that the health of the community would be in the hands of the community.
The design of the initiative is to create a human/community centered health design, in which the community participate wholesomely to improve their health.
We didn't just go there, we had a prior deep conversation (fish Bowl experiment) with some of the community leaders who are interested in health and amazingly the idea for training/building a health team came about as well as a support unit for mothers. It was a conversation that lasted for about two hours and getting to learn about the community was great.

So we moved into planning of how a community health team would be. Looking back it was a very interesting journey, putting things into places for the main day and so may 4th arrived, we got to the community and got to work, I must say the turn out was impressive, to have thirty five people from all works of life interested in learning basic health knowledge in other to help others.

We have only just begun , we would continue so many more, improve on so many things and continue to look for sustainable ways to bring about Universal Health coverage
