From the time I was little the only thing I wanted to do was play ball, I put my heart and soul into this game, but for what reason. Sure I’m not the greatest player on the planet but I have a work ethic that makes me a good athlete. Four years of high school baseball was the longest four years of my life, and to finally say it’s over is a relief. I never knew that an adult let alone a coach could be so disrespectful and unaware of the mental strain they can put on an individual. This isn’t supposed to be a “feel bad for me post” because I honestly could care less but I want people to know who are going through the same things I did, it’s ok to say you’re done, because saving yourself is more important than a stupid medal or a win in the column. So i’m not going to thank Bermudian Baseball because they did absolutely nothing for me and my life. But to my friends and teammates thank you and I appreciate you. Good luck on Monday at the district championship, do it for yourselves, not the selfish coaches that are fueled by making themselves happy rather than their players. by @zack26thomas
