POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In case you missed it, I’m back at the podcast thing again—my pod IN THIS ISSUE… has returned and it has joined the modern world, with a video component on YouTube to complement the audio only version available via RSS in your favorite podcatcher.

I’ve been talking with a bunch of amazing guests about some of their favorite comics and flipping through them in high definition for those of you who like to consume your podcasts in video form. Every other week I’ve been doing little short form solo spotlights of interesting stuff from my own collection, which has been fun too. Head over to the podcast account @bincrawlr , follow there and hit the links to learn more. Lots more to come! 🫡✌️ by @zacksoto

TBH, I'm not exactly sure how this works…but I *think* it's a pretty cool thing: If you're a librarian (or know one) who subscribes to the Junior Library Guild, my book Power Button Vol.1 has been chosen as a Gold Selection for grades 3-6! Great mail day: some (but not all) of the last few books I edited at Oni.

MFM was a script-to-issue stage edit but Faceless and Hobtown were repackaging previous editions. Both kind of making books/comics are cool to me. Different but related parts of the brain.

One of the best things about working at Oni was the crew of talented designers that are on staff there. Always up for anything, super collaborative and very additive. Even in the throes of some serious systemic deadline crunch, we were united in our desire to make beautiful books.

I tagged Carey and Winston above but I wanna shout out designer Sarah Rockwell (@s.y.rockwell) on Hobtown who really kicked ass and elevated the whole production. That book is one of my favorite things I helped make at Oni - we got audacious and colored a B/W cult classic and I think it really paid off! Please pick any of these fine books up if you see them, you won’t be disappointed! by @zacksoto
