Excuse my algorithmically designed post I am only getting more annoying from here!!! I love being a small biz person in the Catskills. ZAPWARE is a direct reflection of the increasing tick populations here. I made fashionable bug protection because I will wear it more if I look nice and I bet you might feel the same! Unfortunately, for the northeast, ticks are abundant well into November, so stay protected my friends. Every garment is hand-sewn by me (@beccavank ). I love to watch tv all day (catching up on @alonehistory rn)and sew your garments in my little home studio. Got questions?? I love to answer em. Sizes? Up to three 3XL. What are they made of? Noseeum or ripstop mesh. Is it breathable? I always say it’s warmer than wearing nothing but much less hot than wearing long layers. Are they for style or function? BOTH! Wear em how you want. Omg look at this big squash hanging down from my trellis!!! I still have a few of my giant gete okosomin in the garden but this is the only one I let grow vertically. This is an indigenous squash and it’s only through centuries of indigenous stewardship that I’m able to grow it today. I love to be outside but I fucking hate #ticks , which are still out in full force! The weather is cooling down but ticks have no chill. Be careful out there, pals. I wear my ZAPWARE until the late fall, as it is bulky enough to wear long layers underneath. Farm uniform, with a little extra protection. Made for long days outside, from the garden to the woods and everywhere in between.

Hope you guys like my foraging content I don’t know how to promote my ZAPWARE bug protection I am tired lol!! Shoutout to “Incredible Wild Edibles” by Sam Thayer for the very detailed info about collecting hickory nuts. I highly recommend reading the whole chapter as it has so much good and important info! Gonna dry these out for a bit after testing and then crack some for a snack. They last for months in their hard shells and about two weeks once shelled. Sam Thayer says his top hickory nut is a shagbark and I am very stoked to eat some food from my yard #foraging #tickseason trees #foragedfood #hickory by @zapware_
