CGI and VFX are ridiculously expensive for an indie budget—so we embraced practical effects. 🎥✨
Not relying on computer-generated shortcuts forced our director Ryan to get incredibly creative with set design, lighting, and physical visual tricks. There’s something special about making a film the old-school movie magic way, where every frame is crafted by hand in a real physical room.

Trauma alters the way our minds respond to fear, often showing up as anxiety, depression, PTSD, or self-sabotaging behavior. 🧠🥀
Creating My Beautiful Rose allowed us to take those deeply personal psychological struggles and build an authentic horror feature around them. It’s a story about the unseen wounds we carry and finding the strength to heal.

Growing up, I experienced trauma and abuse that made me feel like a real-life Cinderella—just holding on and waiting for safety. 🥀
When I met my husband Ryan, we built a life grounded in love, trust, and creative freedom. Creating My Beautiful Rose together has been one of the most healing experiences of my life, turning dark memories into strength and storytelling.

Before I moved to Los Angeles, people in Mongolia told me that America runs strictly on money—that no one shows up unless there’s a paycheck waiting for them. 🇲🇳✨
Making My Beautiful Rose proved the exact opposite.
For nearly two years, an unbelievable group of filmmakers stood by Ryan and me. They saw Ryan’s vision, believed in us, and brought their heart and artistry to set every single day with zero ego. Because our movie is self-funded, they agreed to put in the work now and get paid once the film generates revenue.
Our crew gave us everything, and they deserve to be compensated for their dedication. That’s why getting My Beautiful Rose into theaters is so critical: box office sales will allow us to pay back our crew for their loyalty and fund our next film as a mom-and-pop studio.

Before a single light was set up or a camera rolled, we were in painting clothes covered in pink rollers and white ceiling splatter. 🎨🌹
Transforming our living space into a film set was a huge physical undertaking—and yes, Ryan took on the popcorn ceiling all by himself! But every coat of paint was about more than aesthetics. It was about building a sanctuary.
Having a safe space is where true healing happens. Bringing that emotional warmth right into our apartment set gave My Beautiful Rose its heartbeat.
We are 75% through filming and raising funds to finish our remaining 25% shoot and post-production (VFX, sound design, score, color, and editing).

Day 12 of bringing our indie horror nightmare to life. 🩸✨
We wanted to give you a real taste of what we’ve been building in the dark. No smoke and mirrors—just raw tension, sweat, and a whole lot of practical grit. Seeing these scenes come together on screen has been surreal, and we couldn’t have gotten this far without your support.
We’re in the home stretch of our campaign, and every bit of fuel helps us cross the finish line and bring this horror story to the big screen (or your screen!).

Sometimes your rock-bottom moment is just the setup for the story of your life. 🌹
Coming from Mongolia, learning true independence in Los Angeles came with a lot of expensive lessons, an eviction, and a whole lot of resilience. But remembering where I come from and reclaiming my nomadic roots kept me grounded through the noise.
Facing that chaos led me straight to Ryan, to love, and to creating our first feature film together.
My Beautiful Rose is built on real survival and deep healing. We are 75% filmed and raising finishing funds to cover our post-production editing, color, sound, score, and VFX completely outside the studio system.

Why my real-life abusers don’t get a single line or scene in our psychological horror film 🎬👇
When my husband Ryan wrote My Beautiful Rose based on my childhood trauma, he made a strict rule: the people who hurt me don’t deserve a platform or a face in our story.
So instead, the abuse is written into the narrative as an unavoidable catastrophic event—like a car crash. The whole movie is about what happens INSIDE the survivor as she reclaims her life.
It took me 20 years to finally process everything, and creating this film has been part of my healing. 75% of our indie horror movie is shot, and we’re raising finishing & post-production funds for editing, score, sound, color, and VFX!

Hollywood will fund the 15th remake of a bad movie before giving a real indie director a shot 🎬💀 Ryan knew he was born to make films at age 4, but without a nepo baby budget or industry connections, we had to build our film from scratch.
Just me, him, a camera, and a beach. 75% of our psychological horror film is shot on pure willpower. Now we need our community to help us raise finishing funds & post-production!
