Managed to lock down my first win of the year at a VERY stingy Cap. 6 bites all day but made them count! @trikafishing 73H jig and 70ML neko 6X was the ticket today. Set a goal, crushed it. Angler of the Year 2024. 4 wins, 2 second place finishes out of 10 tournaments fished. Some of the best days I’ve had on the water and fun fishing, not draggin a worm. It was the year of the jig and crankbait for me which also happen to be my favorite way to get em! Back to back wins! Figured em out on a super tough day at Sutherland and walked away with my 3rd win of the season with just over 16lbs. Switched up my overall thought process for attacking tournaments this year and it’s been paying off. Most of the good ones came on the @bpm_custom_rods BFF Cranking Rod and a @megabassamerica Deep 6. Win number 2 for the year! Probably the best night of fishing I’ve ever had last night at the V. My dude @sithfishtoo and I put the wood to em all night long in our first team style derby, lost count within an hour or two. Can’t explain enough how crazy it was….. Another memorable trip to our home away from home. Thought we had it all figured out after two days of pre fishing but the bite changed on derby day of course. Was in striking distance of the lead going into day two but struggled and ended up in 4th. Still a solid finish but should have been better.
