I wanted to share a little about myself, my path to my PhD, and how I got to where I am today!

I got to tour the lab through a summer camp for girls who love science. It was SO cool!!!

I ended up getting a paper out of my undergrad research, but it didn’t get published until about three years into my PhD.

also, my GPA was a 2.89, for people who are wondering. i knew the science, which was clear in the lab, but I was struggling with classes (hello unmedicated ADHD)

(i just learned that some NIH PREP programs are back!! love to see it)

the NIH PREP program was one of the best experiences I’ve had.

It was a funded postbac program for disadvantaged students, where you had the ability to do full time research, take graduate level classes, apply to PhD programs for essentially free, and get guided mentorship on PhD applications. I’m really upset that the program no longer exists

I said at 16 that I wanted to get a PhD, and I’m doing just that! by @zee.phd
